Hi all. I decided when got interested in cosplay that I'd always create original characters and because I'm a writer, I'd just write the stories for each one so that the cosplay community can get to know my characters. I'd even gladly have people contribute artwork to the stories if they wanted to. How many of you have created original characters? Have any of you created stories/manga/artwork/plays etc. to bring your character to life for other cosplayers? What are your ideas?

Well, there's a thread about whether I should go as my own comic character.

've been thinking of cosplaying as my own guado OC.

I created an original character that I want to cosplay, but that'll have to wait until I actually have time to write the story (which has been in my head for months, I just don't have time to write it yet). Kind of a Final Fantasy-esque story (big surprise there for me). I think it's a great idea, and you'd definitely be original, although I wouldn't want to wear original costumes all the time b/c I do like to get recognized. But hey, if your costume looks really cool, it could raise awareness for your story/manga/whatever. :-D
