Greetings all,

-bad news-
I got a GBA last Christmas but it got stolen this past March.

-good news-
I got a new GBA today and now I need games ^.^.

I have:
Fire Pro Wrestling (U.S. version)
The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (U.S. version - my fav SNES game ever)
Puyo Puyo (U.S. version)
Suikoden Card Stories (Japanese Import)

I had and beat:
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

Almost beat but traded:
Golden Sun

Had and hated:
Chu Chu Rocket

Games I'm thinking of:
Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland
Lady Sia
King of Fighters: Neo Blood
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (sp?)

What games do you think I shoud get? I love platformers and action/adventure games. I also love RPGs but don't like the Breath of Fire series. I also love card battle games.

Well, you know what I'm going to say. Kirby: nightmare in Dream land rocks. XD

If you're into card games, Yugioh: Eternal Duelis Souls is a really good game.

Side Scrollers. Megaman Zero is good too. Not as complicated.

Let's see... check emu folder. Megaman Battle network is fairly good. but the story is kind of cheesy. Mario Super Circuit if you don't already have it... Uhmm.... The Sonic game was okay....

That's about it, really. I'd post some codes for Kirby but I need to translate them into the US version first and then run them through Mr. Codemaster at CMGSCCC for them to work on the codebreaker.

There is that Tactics Ogre game for the GBA. It's supposed to be quite good if you like that type of game. Then, if you like any form of Mario, the GBA versions are all great- just as great as they were back on the SNES. Mario Kart, of course, is fantastic. Is Lunar Legend out yet?

Tactics Ogre was a pretty good game. Metroid Fusion isn't too bad either (more like the "real" Metroid games compared to Prime).

If you're into platform games... Sonic Advance, and Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. *nod*
Actually... Sonic Advance was a lil dissappointing...

RPGs: I second Megaman Battle Network. Also, the Phantasy Star collection.

definitly metroid...its the game to have...makes a everlasting impression and the additions to metroid prime are a hellava bonus

Phantasy Star Collection!! :bigtu:

12-13-2002, 09:19 AM

12-13-2002, 09:24 AM
There's Phantasy Star Collection, which is PS1-3, on GBA, then there's Phantasy Star Online Eps 1&2 for Gamecube.
Nothing by Sonic Team will ever appear outside of a Nintendo system ^o^

Phantasy Star collection, it is on the GBA yes!
Street Fighter Alpha 3 and GGX special..metroid prime yes!

I hope you aren't counting the Dreamcast in that ;)

And PSO is supposed to be coming to Xbox next year.

Of course not. Sonic Team was pretty much a first-party developer for Sega... they made some of the very best games! ^_^

Sonic Team is a subdivision of Sega... They're the same company, basically. So yeah, they were 1st party for Dreamcast ^^;
And they're 2nd Party with Nintendo, meaning they produce Only For their systems.
...unless this XBox rumor of Cassandra's is true >.<

"Sonic Team's online multiplayer RPG is coming to the Xbox."

Don't get KoF: Neo Blood! Bad, choppy gameplay. It made me sad. :(

Metroid Fusion is decent but not as good as the others, of course. It fluctuates between too easy and cheese hard.

Tactics Ogre Gaiden is a fun game that will consume a lot of time if you can find it, but like every other tactics game (can we say FFT?) there were some things about the plot that miffed me which I won't go into detail about to avoid spoilers. ;)

Actually, Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars was a good tactics game IMO even though it has no replay value. Might want to check it out if you're a fan of the series.

I recommend Phantasy Star Collection ^^ 3 classic games for $40! I'm having fun, and they're hard too! hehe it's great to feel like it's the 80s again.

I just imported pokemon ruby and its pretty good, theres alot of good little effects when going around towns and forests. Other good games : Kirby ones, Tactics Ogre, Megaman Zero, Breath of Fire 1 & 2, Lunar Legends, Advance Wars, and FINALLY any of the Super Robot Wars games, course they are imports =\

PS4 was the best one, but I digress.

Yes, eternal duelist soul is good, but incredably easy if you don't have anyone IRL to play.

oh, and I hate you for having the Suikoden import.

12-13-2002, 11:55 PM
Well I've never played any of them before so I thought I'd pick them up ^^ I traded in Golden Sun and Namco Museum for them. Maybe I'll make my way to 4 eventually! I wanna get into Suikoden too, I've never played those... I really missed out on a lot of rpgs while I just liked blowing crap up *lol*

12-14-2002, 09:11 AM
I recommend Tactics Ogre, that game is awsome, and if you have a friend who also owns it then you can link up a get sweet items just from battling, and if you want a challenging action game get Contra Advance or the Earthworm Jim's.

Thanks guys, I've narrowed my list too these:

Phantasy Star Collection
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

I don't recamend the Suikoden GBA game unless you know all the Katakana and at least 500 kanji... I can't make out the kanji and because of that I can't do the card battles. But it's more for the completist in me to get it. I got it off ebay from a guy in Hong Kong for 35 bucks shipped too.

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past kicks ass for the GBA!

Anyone know where to get the Afterburnber Backlight installed?
