I'm building an Inuyasha costume in hope to maybe have it ready for animenorth this year. I'm relatively new at this so I'm a little dimwitted on this. The hardest part I can find for this costume is his hair. Being a short brown haired guy who works fulltime in a place where long hair is considered unsafe its kinda hard to decide to grow it out and bleach it or dye it. So I'm considering a wig but have had very little luck finding a site that offers something vaguely similar that I can modify. Would anyone out there have a good location where I can find wigs built for this purpose? It would greatly help my cause.

Thanks in advance.

Look up local costume or theater stores (not like party city type things, but actual stores for professional theater) They should have a good selection of wigs and generally can help you find whatever you need, offer hints and show you how to do things.

The first couple of cosplays I did, I bought a picture in, showed someone, and they got me the perfect wig and showed me what to do.

Once you start getting wigs down, you can find stuff on your own and such, but for the first few, that's what I'd reccomend.

I got my wig on eBay...not a bad price and given that I had a hell of a time finding a long white wig, this worked.

I found I had to add a little hair into it (you can buy loose hair at wig shops) but all in all, not a bad wig.
