I'm not sure on kind of spraypaint I should use for a sword and steath I have for my July (Guilty Gear) costume. The sword is an Elite Operations King & Knights Sword I bought from Toys'R'Us. I just need to spraypaint the hilt and the triangial part of the blade blue. The steath is just a cardboard Kodak Avantix box.

I generally reccommend using acrylic or such over spraypaint due to the fact that spraypaint tends to damage foam and eat away at some plastics. You may want to test a little bit if you're using spray paint to make sure the plastic will be ok.

Good Luck!

If your sword is plastic, you can probably use any spraypaint you find at Michael's since those are geared towards "craft" use. If you are concerned, Krylon makes a line of spraypaints that are advertised "plastic-safe."

That said, I've used their "regular" spraypaints on plastic props (cap guns, toy swords) and never had any problems of the paint corroding the plastic.

Foam is another story though... don't ever use any spraypaint on foam -__-"
... what a mess.... lol
