uh-oh, another rikku question!!!

i am making the ffX rikku, and i want to know, how do you people make her big leather welders glove?? I got a welders glove from good ol' lowes, but it neede some modication, such as lengthing the glovy part (so it came to my elbow) and broke 6 needles in the process!! i've heard some people say pleather, but that's expensive, and regular cloth looks tacky to me. I have everything else to a T, except the hair color, and my stigmatism is too high for even colored contacts, i'm lucky to have regular ones. I'll post some pics soon!!

I use vinyl for the glove... Then again, 25% of my Rikku costume consisted of vinyl, lol, I love to use it cause it's cheap and easy to handle ^_^ My glove turned out sucky tho cause I traced my arm on the vinyl and cut it w/t leaving extra space for the stitches x_x Don't make the same mistake I did, lol, good luck on yours! Can't wait to see it!

i'm a south paw, so tracing a glove on the left hand is quite a diffacult task, lol.

There's always patterns for gloves that you can get ^_^ I bought one, and it didn't work for me cause yeah... lol, so I stuck with my sucky glove u_u

For the claw on my left arm, I just purchased a leather glove from a hardware store. If you planning to make the claw which Rikku wears on her right arm, you may try to use deer skin. You can buy them as pelts. Just make sure that you use a leather needle when sewing the deer skin. Vinyl and ultra suede are also good alternatives.
