Hi there guys, I'm new here. I've been searching for fellow Virginians to do a Full Metal Alchemist cosplay skit with. If anyone was planning on attending Nekocon and is interested in working with me, please let me know. I'm nearly finished with my costume (I'm cosplaying Lust) so pretty much any other character will do.

However, I'm looking for people who are serious about working on this- I'd very much like for us to take home a trophy. Skit subject and whatnot is still up in the air, so it's all very democratic, but I want to do this right. Which means getting together every once in a while to go over the skit (so being in the hampton roads area might be a plus as I'm from Virginia Beach.)

If you're not interested in doing a skit, but will be cosplaying an FMA character and want to meet up at the con for a bit of a photoshoot, to hang out, or as a hallway FMA group, that's cool too.

My email is opinions.were.like.kittens@gmail.com and my AIM is asfruitdrops (feel free to IM even when it's set to mobile... I'll still get the message.)

Thanks guys!

Well, I have an Edward Costume and would be willing to be in a cosplay skit. I could also probably make a Riza if I had the time... I'm short, blonde, and female, to give you an idea of my char. range, although I'm not opposed to crossplay (points to Edward) so if you need another char. seriously, let me know. :P

That's brilliant- an Edward is perfect. Are you in Virginia? We could toss some ideas back and forth if you want. I have a few, but they're in the baby stages still. My roommate will be going with me, and I'm trying to talk him in to cosplaying in the skit as well, though it's up in the air as to who he'd be. If you're close, that would be helpful, if not, we could just figure something out online. I'm so glad you're interested! I was beginning to worry I'd have to scrap the whole idea.

Not a native Virginian, rather I'm from PA, but I'm not adverse to bouncing off ideas online. I've been to the past 2 Nekocons, and this may be my last if things don't shape up as in comparison to last year. PM me later if you want my info. :P

Almost right after we talked I got a note from two other cosplayers (one Ed, one Winry) both in Virginia. Since they're close enough to meet up with, I agreed to take them on board. That way we could meet for rehearsing and whatnot.

I really, really hope there's no hard feelings there. I'd still VERY much like to meet up with you for some hallway cosplaying (I'm always looking for new cosplay friends!) or, if you want to put something together with me for next Katsu, that'd be great too!

Gah... *headdesk* I'm sorry. The temptation of getting to rehearse properly before the con was overwhelming. You can seriously, like, slap me now, if you want. But please consider Katsu! I'd love to plan a whole different skit, if you're going there as well.

It's cool. I'll be @ Katsu this year, staff, but I'll see about what I can do.

Looks like I, getting roped into attending Neko con this year. I will be there with my Edward costumes as well so if you happen to need another Ed I'd be more than glad to participate. I can show you pictures -- I really have been meaning to upload some to my gallery. With any luck i'll be running a FMA fan panel at Neko as well *crosses fingers waiting to hear back from the events staff*

If you guys are serious about your ideas or photoshoots, I'd definitly like to hear what you have in mind. I photograph the con when it comes to VA, some of you probably saw me running around the last con all weekend and on stage photographing the DJ's last year. Photography is more my thing than costumes or skits, but I'm willing to try and help you guys out, seeings how I have "inherrited" scar's arm... yes tattooed, lol! If you can come up with some type of skit or can get a group together for a shoot, I'd be willing to try and put a scar costume together. Problem is, I work a lot, and con will be here before I know it, so any pics or sites where I can scrape an idea of his outfit together would be great. I'll check back with you guys here in the forums.
