I've been craving to make Inuyasha's Coat, the Red one, and I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to get the design down. I want the sleeves as wide as possible, to make it realistic. My Budget ATM is about 80 bucks, but it's growing every friday (As I work in a bar and get good tips)

I did do a Inu Yasha, but it was a commission!! But, there is a book that does have a shirt pattern that can help you out!! It's called Make Your Own Japanese Clothes! Get it on the internet, because most stores don't carry it! I hope that helps!

I have recently finished an Inuyasha outfit. You can use a pattern guide off of a karate cotume. These can be found at most fabric shops. As for the sleeves, simple, just fold the fabric in half and pin like a half triangle. Then adjust the wider end until desired lenght is obtained. You can seen my costume in the PHOTO section under Inuyasha. If you need any more help...just write back. See Yah ;)

I just did one too.

I used a Kimono pattern, they are pretty easy to make.

Just make sure you cross the top left over right. DO NOT use VIZ as your perfect picture guide. A kimono that is crossed right over left is _only_ for the dead (or uneducated "otaku"). ^^;;
