Guys, any ideas on where I could get Yan's "Eye of Anubis" patch?
Also, exactly what has he got on? a sports jacket? I just need a name so I can know what to shop for!

well, er, I would suggest making the eye. and costume or toy stores would be a good place to get the guns. they're nothing special, just machine guns.

Making the Eye would be your best bet, unless there's a tailor in your area who will do custom patches. As for his jacket, it looks a bit like a jogger's outfit...just a thought. If you were really pushing it, that would be a very simple jacket to make.

hm.....I'm just shopping for it,so I look for a jogger's outfit?
And,any ideas on how to make the patch?

And also, about Yan's guns, they're not really machine guns.....

And in this one too, rather than M-16's (the standard machine gun) they look a lot like modified Heckler&Koch MP-somethings

Well you obviously aren't going to dole out for a pair of H&K's much less get within 100 yards of a con with them ;) j/k

But they are obviously some form of machine gun body, not standard M16 style, but some modified form.

I say get some wood and paint and go to work!!! :bigtu:

They're a pair of modified Heckler & Koch's MP-5 SD5's (http://www.airsoftzone.com/gun_database.cfm?gun_id=16)

If you need an outfit for Yan just go to Footlocker or Sports Challet. Something like that...

... anyways, do that and then buy an Adidas outfit. There instant Yan. I promise it'll be FUCKIN' great! ^_^

IMO- Yan's outfit looks like a typical schoolboy outfit, but with stripes. If you sew, there's a simplicity pattern for civil war costumes that you can use to make the schoolboy-styled top. Then, you'd just add the stripes& run an extra-long coat zipper down the front (if you can find one. I have problems finding long zippers, myself)

The outfit I've pretty much got down......it's the accessories that are killing me! >.<

Mew. Alright follow these and i guarantee you'll have a kick ass costume:
1. The outfit: Like i said before, go to a sports store and get one.
2. The eye that you have been getting grey hairs over: Try felt. Remeber back in elementary when we had to cut things out and make pretty shapes and then put them all together to make some sort of picture? Well yea, it's kinda like that except with glue and fabric.
3. Guns: Toys R Us? Any place where they sell toys. Add a can of spray paint and it WILL go a long way.
4. Any excess stuff: Seriously, i can't think of anything the guy would need. Um you could yell and bunch of profanities and start getting into character, but other than that you're pretty much set...

There ya go. I hope that this helps you in your struggle.

O.o Mucho problemo with the peircings...Yan's walking metal-detector bait. Do you actually have all those peircings already or are you going to use magnetic/stick-on jewelery? The ones under his eye and on the bride of his nose may be a bit of a problem, though there are many places that make false peircings and hoops. (Spencers, Hot Topic, Claires, to name a few)

As for the eye, I agree with Maekaeirn. Go for felt as it is a very simple material to cut, is extremely inexpensive, and will easily attach to a beanie with the wonder that is Hot Glue. (The second most useful substance in the known universe, bested only by Duct Tape.)

Id say take a bit of felt and then fabric paint over the top, painting sounds easier than cutting to me..
