You know that staff she had that kinda looked like it had flat pointed, red tipped, lightning bolts on each side ? ^^;; Maybe you don't... I couldn't find a piccy online of it, anyway^^

Well, I made one, completely out of metal, about 6 feet in total length, and it looks awesome! (I made it on a whim. Why? I dunno, it's just the one she was using when I decided to try my hand at my first prop^^) Only problem is, well, I'm not an Aeris cosplayer, so I know I'm not gonna use it, so I'm putting it on ebay when I can get my hands on a digital camera in a few days. ^^

I just wanted to give anyone a head's up in case they wanted to know ^^ I'm not even sure how much I'm gonna sell it for yet ^^;

So, yeah, anyway *ramblemumble* :angel:

I'd buy it from you were I not already mostly done with one of my own. Soon I will have ever single staff she has in the game. :D

I only like about 3 of her staff designs. I can't wait to see how it turns out though. Sadly I've been choosing PVC over metal materials cause of rules and such. I hate making 2 or 3 of everything >_<!

Wow, Aeris. O.O Almost every single staff, huh? Lucky. :p

I only have two Aerith staves-- they're made out of PVC too, like Missy's. ;-; No real metal ones for me yet. ;-;

I'll consider your offer, Pretear. It sounds really cool so far! :)

The only problem is... they're hard to transport.

You can't take any real metal staff to a convention. It's against the rules. Same with real swords. That's the only reason why I haven't made mine out of aluminum or some form of metal. Plus it's so heavy >_<

I...did not know that o.o But, actually, mine's not too heavy at all (and I'm a wimp ^^;) I hope I didn't make the staff and then no one can ever use it, that's so sad! ;.;

Yeah, I wish I could make all of mine out of metal. My first one is metal but then I had to make a second out of PVC. PVC is great, but I should have filled mine with sand or something before I closed it off. I hate not being able to really use it like the other one.

I've made like.................... 5 guard sticks. Only one has survived so far. I'm improving I think ;_; I just need a nicer way of shipping them.

LOL that was so funny. Did I end up giving that staff to anyone? UPS completely demolished it. I mean.. I almost cried when I received the package at the hotel. They'd ripped it open and tore up the thing... ;_;

Actually no. I think AXNY staffers chucked it... They were holding it for you remember I told you that. ^^;

Aeris, did you use PVC pipes?

If you used PVC, what did you adhere them together with? I find that PVC cement is ESSENTIAL-- once I applied a good amount of PVC cement into the pipe that the extention would go into, it seemed to be pretty secure. I've had my guard stick for a few months now, and has endured much playing and twirling and throwing, and it's still holding strong!

I'm pretty sure it would hold up to shipping-- as long as I label the unusually-shaped box "Theatrical Prop", or something. The shippers should be okay with it then.

Yes I used PVC cement. I don't think ANYTHING can hold up to people ripping the staff apart checking for BOMBS. I appreciate you trying to show me how to make an Aeris staff though :)
