Hi, I'm going to make a Kairi costume for Kh2 and I was wondering if these seem like correct patterns for her outfit.

For the skirt and

for the shirt, with just cutting of the sleeves.

Here's some pictures of her outfit

If anybody has an idea for how to do the tie that would be really helpful. Thanks!

It looks good. I wouldn't entirely cut off the sleeves, though. According to the bottom picture, she has short sleeves rolled up.
Actually, after closer speculation, the skirt looks too poofy. My friend owns a school uniform that is identical to that one. It's a kilt, not a poof-skirt.

If you need a different site, just do a search for something along the lines of "school uniform" or "mini-kilt".

I'm going to make a KHII Kairi costume as well. ^^

This fabric is *almost* perfect for the skirt and tie, however it seems to be discontinued.
http://www.distinctivefabric.com/fabric.php?product=PLAID

If I'm unable to find the right fabric, I was thinking of getting a solid light blue material and use some kind of fabric paint to add the white and navy stripes. :drunk: I'm not sure how the fabric paint will look, I'm worried it will look messy and bleed into the material or make the material too stiff. I have never used paints before.. and I hope I don't have to.

If anyone sees a light blue plaid material, on a website or @ fabric store, it would be very much appreciated if you dropped me a line. :toothy:

I need help still too, because the skirt is unavailable. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it. :D

If you do have to use fabric paint, here are some tips. I personally find it easier to paint the stripes on before pleating the skirt, etc. Use blue tape to mark off the lines- that way they will all be straight and less likely to bleed. Additionally if you don't mix the paints with water, they will be far less likely to bleed.

Thank you Solaria, but I've settled on a regular blue plaid, which although not exact is probably better than hand-painting in my case.

Whee, I'm so glad I found this!! I needed a video game costume from a recent game, it needs to be put together in 20 days, and Kairi will be perfect!

I suppose I will go for painting the lines onto blue material. Im starting first thing tomorrow morning!

After watching the trailer four times I have two more relatively good screen shots. The skirt picture shows the check pattern pretty well, and you kind of see her hair in the other pic. Also the skirt pic shows that her socks are a deep blue, not black.
