I'm driving out to denver from Kansas City and was wondering if anyone would need a ride to NDK? I'll be driving out Friday morning and returning Sunday at around 1PM. It's about 9 hours total.

I do have a room to share if anyone is interested, I'm trying to get a kigurumi cosplay together but don't think it'll be ready in time for NDK (gotta get the mask from Japan).

I guess to clarify, looking to split costs on driving from Kansas City or hotel room on site....

At this point I'm driving the 10 hours

You might have better luck if you tell a bit about yourself...

like age, gender (tho I'm guess as a Brian you're male), whether or not you smoke, whether or not the room will be a PARTY Room...

it will help with the comfort zone for a lot of people if they know in advace a bit of info. Surprises can make for REALLY awkward rooming situations. Others will also be more inclined to tell about themselves and that helps to protect you.

ok, I'll bite, or something to that effect

Um .. 32 year old male .. been going to cons since 96 (akon) .. I won't have a smoking room

As far as interests, fansubbing (Central Anime - http://www.centralanime.net) general computers, my kids(active in daughters girl scout troup))

I generally treat the hotel room as quiet space, I tend to go to other room parties and haunt the video rooms at all hours. Since NDK is such a drive for me I do however have to sleep quite a bit for the drive back.

As far as other cons, I work staff at Akon and Acen every year and treat NDK as my "lay back and just play" con.

I have been to Anime Iowa a couple of times and find the resources for going to it better spent at NDK.

As far as this years plan, unless I get some bites on sharing the driving part of this trip than I'm probably going to be driving out a day early and heading into the mountains for the day.

As far as desired roommate qualities, standard "don't mess with my stuff, I won't mess with yours" and "if I'm sleeping, don't wake me, I'll do the same for you."

As far as cosplay plans, none for this years con, I have been trying to get a kigurumi cosplay together but have had no luck getting a Japanese mask-maker to return my emails (which is really annoying considering how much those things cost and my efforts in getting the money together before opening up a dialog).

Tho I imagine they'll stop you from riding indoors.

I may actually get out there Thursday instead of Friday (so I don't crash hard on Friday night after a 10 hour drive).

PM or email me if your plans (or needs) firm up.

Given that the con has already started, there isn't much left for this post.

If anyone reads this late and still needs a room for Friday or saturday night.. I'm at (number deleted - email if anyone for Saturday night).

Cell phone number redacted - no takers.
