I just read on the subway that Paramount Canada's Wonderland is having a haunted theme park thing going on, from 5:00pm - 11:00pm, starting October 14th!
Sounds like fun to me! I wonder if people are expected to come in costume or no??? I was thinking, this sounds pretty interesting, n i'd wanna go check that out. If anyone else is interested, maybe we could pick a day to all go together! Maybe we could all go in our spookiest cosplays? (if anyone has any) or else we could all just go to have fun. We could all wear a bit of cosplay, like naruto head hands, chii ears, wigs, anime t'shirts, bring our plushies with us, whatever.

I believe it's about $24.99 per person.

Warning though, the ad said that the event is not suitable for children.

I'm definatly interested in going - just have to figure out when i can get the day off of work. Is anyone else into it?
We don't HAVE TO all go together, but it could be fun.

Actually you aren't allowed to come in costume. This is mainly because people who come in costume could be mistaken for staff members. If someone in costume does something inappropriate the park would get blamed for it. Another reason why costumes arenít allowed is for copyright reasons. A lot of Anime costumes would blend in but I doubt wearing a costume would be a good idea. I don't see why the Cosplay accessories you recommended wouldn't be accepted though. (^^)

I plan to go. I have no idea when but I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

Oh and to get the tickets for $24.99 (+ tax) you have to buy them online or at a Blockbuster. I believe buying them at the park is more expensive.

Another interesting event (and one that is fairly easy to get to by TTC and allows costumes) is Screamers. I went to that last year with a few people (in costume) and had a pretty good time. (^_^)

Oh really? Hmm, that makes a lot of sense about the whole costume thing. But, that doesn't mean that accessories like the forhead protectors or wigs are out! :) My real hair is pink, so it gets mistaken for a wig all the time! Haha!

I didn't even think of the "blending in" factor :p I only suggested accessories instead because i don't think i'd be able to move around too easily in my cosplays - plus i wouldn't want to get them ruined :p haha! That's why i thought accessories are the way to go. They don't get in the way.
I was thinking about wearing my Ed (FMA) coat that i got at CN2005 since it might b chilly :)

Hey, thanx so much for the blockbuster tip! I didn't know that! I was sitting on the oposit side of the subway, durring rush hour, so i could only read the big print :)

As for Screamers, i've been wanting to go to that for years n never have!
One of my friends works there every year, n he told me that sometimes they do really mean stuff to the customers passing by. I wouldn't want to go if they end up ruining my costume or something.
That's why i was thinking wonderland. Its someplace large, theres tonest to do, everyone knows how to get there, n it would be so fun to see that place all spooked out! Haha!

I wanna try n see if i can go on the 14th (the first day its open), but i'll post up here the date that i actually settle on incase anyone's interested.
If people do not want to go all as a group together - bup, that''s fine. i just threw this idea out here to see if anyone was interested. If not, no worries, i will gladly just go me and my boyfriend! But, if people are interested, lemmie know and we can make arraingments! :)

TB!!! You know I'm there with ya if I can make it. Should be able, especially since I have a season's pass AND I live down the street :D

14th may be doable, but it depends on which of my 1 billion friends who have their bday in the next couple weeks decide to do something. If not, I'm there!

If you wouldn't mind me tagging along with you guys, I'd love to go! I'm just wondering what they consider a costume, cause if I can, I'd like to be able to wear my Shuichi or Ed coat ^_^

Rides ARE still running! Onlly in the dark, because it gets darker earlier this time of y ear. On the website they list Top Gun, Drop Zone, Sky Ryder Dragon Fire, Thunder Run, Great Canadian MineBuster, The Fly, and Vortex all being open, but they also say the rest of the rides are open too, so im sure its everything! :)

The OTHER, specifically HAlloween Events can be found on THIS SITE:

Go look in the GREAT ROOM for details :)

Seasons pass holders do not get in free, since your pass has already expiered when the park closed earlier this season.
HOWEVER, you DO get a discounted admissions price.
While the non seasons pass holders must pay $24.99 ($29.24 WITH TAX)
Seasons Pass holders have a discounted price of $19.99 ($23.39 WITH TAX)

:) Hope that helps!

Well it seems that it will be raining all week long right through Friday. Now, it might be clear by Friday or it might go on for a while more. I think we should have a back up rain date in case it is all yucky on the day we decide to go.

No problem TB. Thanks for trying though ^__^
Anyways, Friday isn't looking too god fro me right now, and I'm guessing no one else would be ready if we set it for then, so how about Sunday the 16th? Does that conflict with anyones schedule?

I haven't been yet, but from the preview of it on the wonderland website it looks pretty scary. (then again, trailers always look like that! :p )
but it should be good. Paramount will probubly do an excellent job! :) And there seems to be a ton of attractions to keep people entertained! :)
