I desperately need the pattern for Vash the Stampede's coat from Trigun if anyone has it. It's for a convention in a couple of months and I don't have much money, so anyone's help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Check out Wal-mart & Joanns and see if they have a pattern similar to what you're looking for. You can even go to simplicity.com, mccalls.com, and a few others and take a look ahead of time to see what they have to offer.

You'll probably have to find a pattern that's close to what you want, and then modify it yourself.

Ooh oooh!! I helped my friend Luke find the materials for his Vash. You can see him here: http://www.eccentrix.com/personal/heartilly/cosplay/vash.html

I found this pattern for a priest costume.. I honestly can't remember if it was McCalls, Butterick's or Simplicity, but you can go look through those books at a fabric store in the costume sections and in fit there. You will have to do quite a bit of altering, but I believe that's the closest pattern you can find.

Oh, and another thing... I know JoAnn's and Hancock's have various sales on patterns.. certain brands may go half off or be like, 50 cents. So I suggest finding the pattern, and then asking an salesperson when the next sale is. Trust me, you will save a bunch. Patterns are not cheap. o.o

Thatís a pretty damn good vash costume. I have seen a lot of crappy ones but this is definitely one of the better ones

Glad you think so! I'll pass the word the along.

Although, the most ironic thing is that he'd never even seen Trigun, but was familiar with it, and his mom made it in a few days. o.o;;

And he was so easy to see with his hair and being 6 foot something and all. o.O
