View Full Version : 2nd Annual MOA Cosplay Gathering!

*EDIT* To save people the hassle of reading through the whole thread, I thought I'd post here all the relevant information. So here it is:

Date and Time: Saturday at 3 PM (Unfortunately, same time as the Naruto gathering. Hopefully this doesn't conflict with anyone's plans)

Where we will meet before we go over: Lobby by the front desk of the Thunderbird (by the windy staircase in front of the restaurant thing)

Where we will congregate at the mall: Food court (second level, above Legoland, overlooking the park formerly known as Camp Snoopy)

How we will get there: Most likely walking, unless the weather is really bad. In that case, we may have to carpool. Shuttles wouldn't be a plausible option unless we can somehow squeeze over 30 people onto one of those busses...
According to Weather.com, the prediction for that Saturday is mostly sunny and 40 degrees. If this is the case, we will walk :3

Stuff you should bring:
- Yourself in costume, of course :P (but if you don't have a costume, that's okay too)
- money
- shoes to walk in (in case it's muddy/slushy)
- jacket, gloves, other warm clothing (in case it's cold)
- ID (they may check it because people under 16 aren't supposed to be unsupervised in the mall after 4 PM)

Stuff you should probably leave behind:
- Props/weapons. You don't want them damaged, plus mall security could kick you out, or even get the cops involved if it looks like a real weapon.
- Costumes that are too revealing, possibly messy, etc. Again, don't want to get kicked out.
- Masks. You don't want to look threatening in any way.

That's all I can think of. Other than remember to be respectful toward people and property while we're there. And this event is being run by me, and has no real affiliation with the con itself, so you don't need to be an attendee of the con to come along (as long as you behave yourself :P). Most of all, I want everyone to have fun. So have fun!

Starting early this year :P Since there was already a thread posted asking about this, I figured I might as well create the new "official" thread.

(For those interested, here's last year's thread: http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=51510)

Basically, what we did last year was got together in a big group and walked over to the Mall of America to have lunch in costume. Some pics were taken and whatnot. Some people wandered off to shop after eating. Many customers looked horrified/confused :P It was great fun.

Last year's turnout was pretty good, though it seemed some people got lost along the way (walking outside was not exactly the most pleasant experience, since it was really cold and muddy and whatnot...). This year I hope to make it better, with more attendees, and also, hopefully, better means of transportation. I will also actually be in costume this year :D

Once again, we will probably do it on Saturday (since this seemed to work out best). The time isn't as important now, and will be subject to other events going on that day (such as photoshoots, etc.).

If you have questions, just PM me or post them in this thread. Otherwise, feel free to start posting if you're interested in attending =^_^=

Woo! I'm there again!

I'll be there again! ^.^ And I'll still probably kidnap some random people I know and drag the along again too.

Also I just wanted to make a random comment about the transportations issue: Thank god for the Marriot shuttle driver that took pity on us half way to the MOA last year. Totally saved some of the costumes from being ruined by the mud.

Jen-neko
11-10-2005, 03:59 PM
Yes, thank god for the nice Mariott driver! I actually have a picture of that guy somewhere...=>.>= (nice enough to drive us over, AND to pose for the camera!)

I think I will look into some sort of transportation for all of us this year. I'll check into when the hotel shuttle goes over to the mall. Or arrange to carpool over there. Or something along those lines, because I really don't want any of us to walk over there this year (unless people absolutely insist). I don't want to be responsible for people's costumes being ruined by the elements, or people getting hit by cars, or freezing, or whatever.

Just because you can see the mall from the hotel, doesn't mean it isn't a bitch to get there :P But don't worry, I'll figure something out (but I'll also open to suggestions, if anybody has any) =^_^=

P.S. Singe, in your gallery, you have a really nice shot of me from behind when we were walking over last year :P

XD. I took a lot of random pictures like that...but my camera deleted about half of my pics for some reason...but we will forever remember part of the walk to the MOA! ...and where my car was parked, since it's in the pic. ^.^

02-06-2006, 04:05 PM
I'm glad to see more people are getting interested :3 I hope our group is just as big as last year, if not bigger! I still need to figure out how to arrange transportation (if anyone has any ideas, please PM me about it). Also, since the con is only about a month or so away, I think it might be a good idea to start compiling a list of the people who will be coming for certain (like I did last year). So those of you bringing friends, I'll need a rough estimate of how many :P

I'm not sure which of my many costumes I plan on wearing as of yet :P If anyone knows what they will be wearing, feel free to share :D

Yaaay! I'm in as well! I'm so happy to see this forum up once again! Jen, thank you for organizing it! I will be bringing my friend, Kaahi, as well. So...count two more people.

We're lucky that the Marriot shuttle drivers were so kind! Instead of giving us a lift to the mall, they gave us a lift all the way back! It was so nice! Along with us in the bus were people who were residing in the Marriot, and they were asking us all sorts of questions about our costumes, and what was going on. If anyone reading this was with us in that little bus ride, please speak up! I had a lot of fun!

I plan on going to the mall as Lulu, from Final Fantasy X. I really hope I can pull this off, and I really hope that there will be more FFX cosplayers!! My friend is coming along as Yuna. So... See you there!

Marisca4
02-12-2006, 11:27 PM
My brother and sister will be coming with me as well. So thats three more for the trip! We will definitely be cosplaying. ^_^ Depending on when the naruto photoshoot is, we will either be doing naruto or pita ten for the MOA raid.

What about everyone else? Are you cosplaying, if so...as what?

Okay, here's the head count I have so far:

Me (plus boyfriend)
SongofAmazon
Singe
Zell dincht
treasure_chan
Marisca4 (plus brother and sister)
Menzeeto
RinnyTinTinny
Bobio Inevuana

Not bad so far. I know last year our group was pretty huge, so I want to try and get an accurate a head count as I can. In case anyone's wondering, I'm planning this for the Saturday of the con, probably in the afternoon sometime (around lunchtime, maybe a little earlier/later, depending on when photoshoots, etc. are. Don't want to conflict with other things :3).

I'm contemplating posting about this on the Detour forums....Not sure how good an idea it is, but I might. Also, I think I'll be wearing my Mamimi costume (since I was planning on wearing it on Saturday anyway).

ChiByakko
02-13-2006, 09:55 PM
Depending on when the gathering is, I'd like to come too. (I may be stuck at the con at certain hours, so I can only call myself a "maybe" or a "hopefully".) I wasn't at the gathering last year, but my friends and I ran around MoA in costume ourselves too. Since that was super-fun, I can immagine a huge group would be even better!

Crimson Deity
02-15-2006, 06:18 PM
I would love to join the gathering! I was in the mall eating last year, but not with the gathering really because I had my little sister and her friends in tow...hearding around that many middle schoolers is quite a chore sometimes. ^^;
My friend (fellow Dir en grey cosplayer) and I will probably be able to go this year. The only issue we have is that walking over is kind of a problem considering MN weather and its incompatibility with our shoes/costumes. ^^; So, unless some other transportation arrangements are made, I'll probably drive over and meet up with the gathering at the mall if that's okay (my friend isn't quite steady on her heels yet and has a tendency to use the top of my head for balance if she thinks she's gonna fall...)

Anyhoo, the gathering sounds like fun! Count Keito (my friend) and I in. ^___^

Singe
02-16-2006, 02:15 PM
This may have come up before (or last year) but would it be possible to request a shuttle for the time when we leave? I know they usually run on something like the half hour, but if the majority of the MOA raid group is staying at the hotel, I don't think they'd have much of an issue holding/reserving one....But I guess it would still depend on the hotel's willingness to help out with it.

...or we could just call Marriot for a ride. :D

Jen-neko
02-17-2006, 12:42 AM
Crimson Deity - Don't worry, I plan on attempting to arrange transportation of some sort, even if we all carpool over there =x_X= walking last year was just too big of a pain (not to mention cold and muddy..)

Singe - Hehe, funny thing is, I'm staying at the Mariott because the Thunderbird is full =^^=;;

I was gonna look into the times the shuttle runs, but I could also see if they'd be willing to take a request. I'll try and do that soon. So busy with school and whatnot lately...My block class is ending soon, and I haven't even done my homework for tomorrow yet! :P So I'd best get to that (and get the eff to work on my costumes).

Count me in for a cosplay gathering at the mall....It would be nice to meet some of the cosplayers on this site!!...I will check this thread for any time/location updates....I am flying in to Minnesota Friday early afternoon, and have chosen not to rent a car during the convention, but I will be using cabs, etc. so if group transportation doesn't work out & getting to the mall for the gathering is a problem for anyone, let me know (I can provide cell phone digits, etc.) and as many people can fit into a cab with me and my fiance, we'll be more than glad to take who we can fit...

Jen-neko
03-01-2006, 02:47 PM
My god, I've been focusing so intently on getting my costumes (and schoolwork) done, that I almost completely forgot about the gathering =x_x=

The time is the big thing I need to determine. Saturday will be the day it takes place (just like last year). Though last year it was either 1 or 2 PM (can't remember). The only thing I might do is schedule it for either later or earlier, because there was a HUGE lunch rush at 1:00/2:00 at the mall. So if that can be avoided, that would be good. If anyone would prefer a particular time, do mention it.

Also, as far as I know, there aren't any photoshoots or other gatherings that would interfere with this one. If anybody knows of anything, PLEASE inform me! I don't want anybody to miss out on anything because of this gathering.

Other than that, I just need to call the Thunderbird about the shuttle. But I can't do that till we get a time in place =x_x=

Like I said, I want your input, people! Especially concerning what times work for you, and if you have any previous engagements that would interfere!

Marisca4
03-01-2006, 03:07 PM
yeah, I agree that scheduling this gathering a little bit later would be a good idea. Avoiding the lunch rush would be a good idea. How about doing it around 3 or 4? We would avoid both the lunch and dinner rush.

Sorra
03-01-2006, 06:23 PM
I might go. I want to see when the programming is during that time. I wanted to go last year but my friends didn't, it looked like fun... :bigcry:

Jen-neko
03-01-2006, 11:06 PM
Marisca - 3 or 4 would be good (I would prefer it to be later versus earlier as well :P). Does anybody know when the cosplay/masquerade starts? I know it's on Saturday, and I really don't want to schedule our gathering too late (I want to try to attend the cosplay/masquerade this year since I missed it last year because I didn't know what time it started =x_x=).

CapsuleCorp
03-01-2006, 11:44 PM
It's usually 7-ish, but anyone who wants to be IN the masquerade needs to be in the green room usually by 5. So, don't have it too late.

I will not be making the gathering this time. I'm pretty much going to be stuck behind my art table this year, up until time to judge the masquerade.

Jen-neko
03-02-2006, 12:19 AM
If people need to start getting to the masq. around 5, then holding it at about 3 would probably be ideal (that way nobody would have to rush to eat or whatever).

Okay, so Saturday at 3 it is (unless too many people object). I'll try to call the hotel about the shuttle at the soonest opportunity. But right now I must resume working on my costumes :P

Okay, so we're up to 18 people who will be coming for sure. Has anyone posted anything about this gathering on the AnimeDetour forums? I'm just curious, because I don't know if we'd get a larger turnout or not...(probably, though). I wonder if I have an account there =x_x= I know I have one for the NoBrandCon forums, but I can't remember if I made one for the AD forums....

Anyway, back on topic =^^=; If someone hasn't mentioned anything yet, maybe I should...? Anyone think this is a good idea?

Edit: Huh, guess I didn't have an account. Oh well, I do now :P

Sounds like a good idea to me...the more the merrier?

I'm kind of surprised Anime Detour hasn't had more interest & hype on Cosplay.com, but I guess it's because SakuraCon is the same weekend?

I had to choose between SakuraCon and Anime Detour...while I love Seattle, Detour had way better guests, plus MOA is fun as well...I guess I chose substance over style this year...

Jen-neko
03-03-2006, 02:25 PM
Kay, well, I went ahead and posted something in the Anime Detour forums (can be found here: http://forum.animedetour.com/viewtopic.php?p=10932#10932 )

Also, I don't really think I need to mention this here, but I will for disclaimer's sake :P In my post on the other forums I mentioned that everybody should be kind and curteous and on their best behavior. Last year went smoothly because everyone was nice and didn't cause any trouble, so I hope this year will be just as good. If you do something to screw it up, you screw it up for everyone, and they WILL not let us do it again! So, please, play nice :P

Like I said, probably didn't need to mention it, but figured I should just in case...

Anyway, I'm in a dilemma. I was planning on wearing Mamimi on Saturday, but I'm not sure if I'd rather wear Mamimi to the gathering or Jessica (because if I wear Jessica, my bf could wear Hero and we'd be a pair, sort of..). I'm not sure what to do...

I think I'd like to go! I have a couple of friends who will be with me as well. I'll definitely mention this to them. I think 3 would work okay, but it can't be too late cause some people do need to be back for masquerade (I may be helping with judging this year, so I'd have to be back... not sure what time though)

I love going to random places in costume, its so exciting ^_^

Jen-neko
03-03-2006, 06:14 PM
I scheduled it at 3 because CapsuleCorp said that people who are participating in the masqerade need to be there by 5 (so that nobody will be in a huge rush to get to the mall and back). Plus last year it was earlier, and there was a huge lunch rush at the mall; this way we can hopefully beat the lunch rush, and the dinner rush.

atchan

Awesome! Yeah, I went back and read the previous posts so now I know exactly whats going on ^^;

Ok, I'll count you in atchan =^^= I'd also like to mention there's 6 more people who plan to be there (from the AD forums). Yay! :D

Oh, there's something I mentioned on those forums that I should mention here, too. It concerns weapons. If you have a weapon that goes with your costume, I recommend you don't take it with you to the mall (especially if it's big). Two reasons for this:
a) It could get damaged
b) *more important* Someone could take it as a threat (especially a gun or sword)
If it is a prop like a plushie or a bag, you can take it if you want. But please, no weapons. (Note: I may take my whip for Jessica [if I ever find/make it], but I plan to keep it wrapped up and in the holster. This, however, wouldn't be as threatening as a sword or gun...at least I think so, anyway..)

Well, I can tell you right now that the time probably won't change, but how we get there is gonna be a toss-up. I haven't called the hotel yet, but as it is, I'm not sure if the shuttle will be the best option for transportation. If everyone who has expressed interest actually attends, we'll have well over 30 people =x_X= I ought to mention that when the Mariott driver gave us a ride last year, the little shuttle was completely packed, and not everyone who attended decided to walk with us (and there were roughly 20-25 people last year).

So, I really don't know what to do. Unless we can get multiple shuttles, there aren't many options. Gah, I should be sewing =x_x= *Frets*

how many people will have cars at the con? i will call the local cab company when i'm there and see if they have like small buses, or vans to come pick me up in, and as many other people can fit, i'm willing to take, no charge. maybe between the cars and cab(s), we can make it happen? any other thoughts?

Some cities charge per person when calling a cab and not per vehicle. You may want to call the company before hand to check on the prices so you are surprised with a huge bill.

yeah, no worries, got it covered! thanks for the concern! if i get a bus or van taxi, they will have a higher rate for sure. based on where we gotta go, it really isn't a problem at all...i am aware as well we all gotta get back too!

i am looking forward to meeting many of the cosplayers on this site, and plus, i LOVE Conventions, & based on what people posted about last year's gathering it sounds great! I would love to get lots of really great group pics! So if transportation is the limiting factor stopping "MOA: The Gathering 2" from happening, if i can help, which i most definitely can, i certainly will! plus, if nobody has rides, then i don't get to go to MOA G2 either, cause there won't be one!!

hopefully the final count can be somewhat generally confirmed (meaning like we know 20-25 need a ride, instead of anywhere from 10 to 50!) by the 24th, and by that time, we may have a better idea who will drive over and how many people need a ride.

jen-neko seems to be the organizer of the event, so my offer stands, and i'll just wait to hear what she wants to do, and go from there!

it's pretty close, definitely walking distance, can't give you exacts, but i think part of the real concern is the weather and mud/slush/water, etc. and trying to best preserve people's costumes. :)

khenemetset
03-09-2006, 01:31 PM
Well, I'll be walking probably unless it's too bad out then I probably won't be going. I think the same will go for RaDragon as well though don't quote me on that ;) Thanks for clearing that up. ^_^

RaDragon76
03-09-2006, 04:48 PM
If the weather isn't too bad then I'll probably be walking as well. A little slush and snow won't hurt my costume or shoes anyway. If the weather is not good or of there is a lot of ice on the sidewalks then I might not go. I just twisted my ankle yesterday and it hurts a little still so I don't want to chance it.

Khene and I are not even sure if we will have her car there on Satuday since we're staying with friends and might be riding to the con with them. Also since we're not staying at any of the hotels there getting one of the hotel shuttles would be impossible for us anyway.

CapsuleCorp
03-09-2006, 10:43 PM
Last year, when the group of us YGO people went over in our own car (packed in 5 people and my wig), it took twice as long for us to drive over and get into the parking ramp (stupid tourists having nothing else to do on a stupid saturday besides go to the stupid mall) as it did for the people who walked. They looked cold, but I think they got there faster.

Being as the con is later in March this year, we stand a better chance of having marginally decent weather. In which case, walking would be recommended, at least for anyone not in a delicate or fragile costume. Then again, anyone in a costume that can't hold up to walking across the Parking Lot Of Doom probably shouldn't be walking with said costume in the Mall of America. :)

Jen-neko
03-09-2006, 10:56 PM
It is within walking distance, but it is also further than it looks (there's one HUUUGE parking lot in between the hotel and the mall). Plus I'm not sure what the weather will be like this year. Anyone that was there last year could surely tell you that we were very grateful when the Mariott driver gave us a ride :P

My biggest concern is getting all of us over there together (since I know we lost a few people on the way). If we all wanna try to walk over together like we did last year, then so be it. Just remember to bring jackets/gloves/etc. if we do decide to hoof it.

Woot! (wow I haven't said that in a while). I'm coming!! And possibly my friend who is coming to con with me....though I'm not sure. She'll probably come along unless there's something she wants to do.

The schedule's out? really? I'm going to have to go look at that...

the schedule is ok...in terms of the video programming, i've seen or own all but 3 of the animes they are showing, so that sucks they aren't showing any real new stuff...:(

And I'm even more disappointed there isn't 24 hour gaming....:sulk: :sulk:

I really hope the MOA gathering can still happen...!!!

Oh I don't pay attention to the video rooms....mostly because either I've seen most of it or I don't have much interest in seeing anything else...and I can watch anime whenever! I don't need to go to a convention to do that. I'd rather go to panels or something like that, which the lineup looks like it'll be lots of fun! I won't ever be bored XD

I guess we'll see how the weather there is for that weekend. I'm used to walking in most weather so it won't really bother me that much. As for getting lost, finding a fairly large group of people cosplaying shouldn't be too hard in a mall full of people who aren't.

I think it was asked a few posts back who all have cars. I do and Keito and I will drive over (since there doesn't seem to be any other definite transportation arrangements made) due to my costume being unsuitable to cold weather and her high-heels no good for long walks. I would offer to drive a couple other people, but I think there will be too much stuff in my car due to the fact that my friend and I are not staying at the hotel (I live in mpls), so any props, clothing, and changes of shoes for her, my sister, and myself will have to live in the back of my car for the day. ^^;

Anyway, my real question is, since it sounds like some people are walking and others are driving, are we planning to meet as a group somewhere in the mall, or just wander until we all manage to congregate? Either works I guess--it would just be nice to know!

What we planned on last year was to meet up for lunch. The place we congregated was the one food court on the second or third level overlooking the amusement park thing (can't call it Camp Snoopy anymore :P). We identified it as the one right above the Legoland. I'm not sure if everyone will want to meet up here again or try to meet up somewhere else. If anyone thinks meeting somewhere else would be a better idea, then feel free to mention it :P But this was a good place to go because we were able to get some food, sit down together, and freak the hell out of people around us. We also found Waldo :P (see this photo (http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=623524) to see what I mean...)

sounds like a good spot.

This general area is probably the best place to meet in the entire mall, even if stragglers come late, the food court(s) are really easy to find. even group pics won't be too bad here, either.

I did decide on Jessica, but she's from a game (Dragon Quest VIII, actually).

Here's a picture of what she looks like: http://www.dqshrine.com/dq/dq8/dq8-a05.jpg

Waah! Sorry I haven't posted in a while! My Lulu costume is taking up a lot of time...

As for your cosplay, it looks like a really cool costume, Jen!! Did the guy who drew Dragon Ball design the characters? I can't wait to see what you do for a whip!!! XD

I'm looking forward to seeing your Lulu =^_^= Thankfully my Jessica is mostly done (yay!) And yes, it's Akira Toriyama's artwork. For the whip I'm trying to find a real bullwhip, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find one....though there is a western tack store in town that I haven't tried yet....

Transportation update: Looks like we're gonna be walking. That is, if the weather permits. In case the weather is bad, well, it might be nice to acquire a list of people who will have cars available for carpooling (though I hope it doesn't come to this). So if you're gonna walk with us, be sure to bring a jacket and other necessary warm clothing (because I'm sure it'll be cold).

Haha...Oh...this might be a little difficult, seeing as how we nearly had a blizzard yesterday. But who knows, maybe the sun will shine bright and hard for the next 11 days and give us some dry ground to walk on instead of sloshy snow?

Akira's work, huh? It looks super cute! I'm glad things are pulling together for ya!

God, I hope the weather's not too bad =x_x= but I don't live in the cities, so I won't know till I get there how bad it's gonna be.

According to Weather.com, their 10-day forecast says it should be warmish (in the 40's) and rainy.....ick...Like I said, might be a good idea to let me know who has cars and might be willing to drive people over...

Yeah...the 7-12 inches of snow that got dumped on us the other day definitely isn't helping things..and the fact that I've heard they're predicting ANOTHER 7-10 for today and tomorrow...

I'm seeing a very white Detour ahead...

Bobio -- Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the weather down there :3 it really helps, despite the fact things aren't looking too good

ReiRei -- Yes, the meeting place is the lobby (first floor near the front desk, in front of the entrance to the restaurant thing...also by the big windy staircase).

I hope the weather is not to bad either though I'd rather it be snowy than icy since driving in the ice is not my friend's favorite thing in the world. I'm going to have enough trouble with it being a good 20 degrees colder there then it is here. I need to remember that when I get ready to leave here next Thursday so that I dress accordingly for the trip up and then remember that on the way back too.

I head that Minneapolis got like 8 inches of snow yesterday/sometime this week, not sure if it's true (though we did get a couple inches here) but hopefully, there won't be much more of it next week...Thoguh being snowed in at a convention could be fun. :toothy:

We got 6-8 or so on Monday and then more yesterday. Luckily, it's over 40 degrees today and some of it is melting. I believe the forcast currently says it will be around freezing or above next week (then again, it's pretty hard to predict the weather this time of yr...). Even if most of the snow melts by next week, everything is going to be very wet and muddy (or at least that has been my experience in the past with the MOA parking lot).
If this turns out to be the case and anyone plans on wearing nice shoes w/ their cosplay, I'd recommend bring along a pair of less nice shoes to wear out walking and slipping on the nice ones when you get there. Minnesota's winters/melts have destroyed many a pair of my shoes (and only the ones I like T___T). Although, I suppose most people are from around here and are familiar w/ the weather. ^^;

Yikes! Iowa got a little snow, and it's all gone now. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the weather for next weekend, because if it snows badly when it comes time to leave, I think I'll have to cry. @_@

Anyway, I have a suggestion. Maybe someone should post the final plans for the MOA gathering either in the first post or somewhere equally visible, that way everyone knows what's going on (as in, make sure people know what time and where we're meeting in both places...just so they don't have to scroll through several pages to find out!) ^^; thanks!

Well, if anyone's like me, then they'd check the last post first (for the latest info) :P Then again, I'm crazy. I'll edit the first post, but just for good measure, I'll post it here, too.

That's all I can think of. Other than remember to be respectful toward people and property while we're there. And this event is being run by me, and has no real affiliation with the con itself, so you don't need to be an attendee of the con to come along (as long as you behave yourself :P). Most of all, I want everyone to have fun. So have fun! Don't make me be the fun nazi...=>_>=;

Thanks for the summary. It was really helpful. ^_^

Unfortunately I won't be able to come due to the naruto photoshoot. This will be my brother's first con and he doesnt want to miss the photoshoot. We might go to the mall for dinner after the photoshoot so if you guys are still there, we might see you. ^_^

Jen-neko

Hopefully we'll still see you there :3 I know I plan on sticking around for more than just lunch/dinner... We lost a fair number of people to the Naruto gathering/photoshoot on the other forums, and I was afraid we would here, too. But I felt it necessary to mention it because I don't want people to miss out on it if it's important to them.

No prob about the weather update!

It seems a lot of the snow from last week has melted somewhat. In some places, you can kinda see the brown ground again... Meh. We might end up with a white Detour, and an icey walk to the mall...BUT IT'S WORTH IT.

I've made some calls and can't find any "regular" cab service to hold 30.....so nobody is excluded, i would rather walk than have someone feel left out....however if people drive folk over and we can get 10-15 in a small bus size cab, my offer still stands...I look forward to seeing you all at Detour! I will be taking lots of pictures, so make sure you bring smiles and attitude! ;)
