I certianly do not want to pay 50 dollars to preregister. Is the prereg site going to be up before the deadline? Or if it isn't are they going to extend the deadline?

I think they're changing web hosts, but it is getting a little close to their last deadline.

Yes I am very worried about it... I may be tempted to not go if I have to pay the 50 dollars, due to college next year and having to keep some money for the road trip (going to one of the huge cons not sure which one yet) set aside...

I was looking to register too and but the site has been down this whole week. I hope they get things together soon.

They are planning on extending pre-reg times for the time the website was down so don't worry guys!

I've tried earlier today and I couldn't get online for OhayoCon. It would be really nice if they could let us have an extra preregistration discount for all the trouble they've caused alot of people that were planning on prereg when the site was down.

It is up right now....it has been up since...6 am at least, since that is when I first logged in.

There is also an announcement on the site, and on here, that we will be taking pre-reg until December 12.

1. Did you read Miyabi's post? Ohayocon is extending the deadline for prereg, so no one needs to worry about prereg in any way shape or form.

2. You GET a discount by preregging.

3. Providing an additional discount for those who are waiting till the last minute to prereg is unfair to those who got their regs done early on (though the extra discount for early reggers is there to encourage early regging.)

By simply extending the prereg deadline the staff is already doing lots for its attendees - giving you guys more time to reg means far less time and far more stress for the staffers who have to process all the regs, make badges, etc.

4. I do not know why you had difficulties accessing the site as I've been periodically checking both the site and forms all day today. http://www.ohayocon.com should get you where you need to go.

If you feel the three day price is unfair given the circumstances of the site having extended downtime, feel free to purchase a one day pass.

The site doesn't work for me, either. I just get "this page cannot be displayed." :/

Hmm...what browsers are you guys using? I can make a post at the forums stating that some people are unable to view the site and list the browsers.

I use Firefox, and it's still working for me.

http://www.ohayocon.com/registration/index.htm

See if for some reason that link works for you - it's the direct link to prereg for the con.

I use Internet Explorer/Windows XP both at home and at my job, and while it doesn't work on my home computer, it seems to be fine on my work's computer. Odd. o_o

EDIT: Now it works on both. Oh well. ^^

Internet Explorer is eeeeevil! >_< I had so much spyware when I used that...Firefox is nice but sometimes it makes you d/l additional plugins.

No perfect browsers exist I guess..hehe

I tried when I got home last night, and though I used the same browser as I do at work - the site wouldn't load!*laughs* I'm posting about it at the forums to let people know.

Internet Explorer is evil....I love Fire Fox, but some web sites will not let you on them, if you use it...I still stick with Fire fox anyways..^_^

Yes, there are still some bugs that are being worked out on the new host. It's just something that has to be dealt with. I've been getting some of the same errors that you all are. All I can say is keep trying.

delete your caches, or try hitting refresh until that page comes up, if that still doesn't work, then get a new browser.
