As per the announcement above, I will be switching over the member forums into usergroups in a few days, once I have the usergroup photo galleries programmed correctly. If someone could please forward me the following info regarding this group it will ease the transition immensely. :)

Usergroup Leader (only one)
Any usernames of members who should be added to the group

I will finish the creation of the group and add access to all usernames in the list. The usergroup leader will then have the ability to accept/decline new members for the group, create photo galleries, and more (once I finish the more part :)

Thanks!

Not sure how often our current mods are actually online, but I'll try my best to personally contact at least one of them about it...

Read the "Important Member Forums Announcements" at the top of the list of threads in the main view of the forum.

I have managed to contact both of our moderators. They are going to talk about who will initially become the group leader. One of them should contact you within the next few days regarding that.

weird...

If we're going to have to pay to be a group, I guess it's a good thing someone just created an LJ community for us.

Admin: any idea how much "membership" will cost? And is this only for usergroups, or for all of cosplay.com?

AnimeRei3: It sounds like you don't have to pay if you want to be in just one usergroup, but any more than that, you'll have to be a paying member. As far as the rest of cosplay.com goes....I think I'm just as confused as everyone else...

I'm not quite sure I entirely understand the idea either. The Admin announcement could be interpreted in more than one way in my opinion. Particularly when it says "paid memberships are coming soon." Which, of course, could either apply to the entire site or simply be a new account type that offers more benefits. Kyle, if you're listening? Can you answer our questions? Thanks!

Ya know what, we should just have our own site or something and pitch in to pay for the space and so on, unless we find free space...^.^6

Well, we might yet be misinterpreting the new developments. I sent a message to the admin. Hopefully he gets it soon and posts a response to our concerns here.

No, you don't have to pay to be in a usergroup.

Member forums are becoming usergroups. You can belong to one usergroup as a regular member of the site. The confusion over the "pay" portion is that there are higher level memberships coming in the future, and only paid members will be able to *start* usergroups, and only paid members will be able to belong to more than one usergroup. Because of that, I'm giving a free membmership, when they come available, to one representative of each current members' forum so that they can access all of the mod abilities.

So I just need one person from this forum to be considered the usergroup leader. Simple.
