My friends and I are big Final Fantasy fans, but we're not sure which one would be easiest to do. We've eliminated all Final Fantasies VI and below (someone doesn't know a good FF when they see one...). So please help us.

Greetings,

Personally I think that the origional FF game has the easiest. Can't go wrong with blackbelt x2 white mage and a black mage (my favorite group)

Joe

FF tactics is a pretty easy game to cosplay characters from...

Personally, I think the costumes from Final Fantasy 8 would be the easiest ones to make. How many people will be in your group?

5 people including myself. We considered 8, but we think the costumes in that one might be too farfetched. We pretty much just search for already made items in places like Salvation Army and construct a costume like that since none of us can really sew...

Hmm. I agree with everyone. The first FF is simple because you have the basic color robes to make. FF8 is also very easy! I would know--I've put together a couple FF8 costumes with thrift stuff. :)

What are some other places to find costume parts?

FF 8 is by far the easiest..... Their outfits are simple.......unlike FFX

heh. people who say FF8 have easy costumes are either used to making far more intricate costumes, or they have no eye for detail. =P

So which do you think is easiest, soshi?

I agree with a lot of people... FF8, since most of their costumes are based on modern fashion trends. You can probably pick up most items at salvation army, make them yourself, or have them made by somoene who knows how to sew. I bought most of the parts for my Rinoa costume at Walmart, and I had the duster made by my sister-in-law (cause I didn't know how to sew then). But yeah, if you're going the salvation army, 2nd hand store route, that would be best. Other than the old school games.

....hmmmm, I'll go with your first comment......

Well, it kinda depends... if you're going for accuracy, FF1 is technically "easiest"... but you said you weren't interested in anything before FF7, so that eliminates that, anyhow.

If you're going for "easiest to make recognizable costumes", FF8 hands down. You may not be able to get perfect details, but you could assemble obviously recognizable costumes using everyday clothing, especially from thrift stores and second-hand stuff.

Because of the huge variety, FFT would be easy if you pick easy ones.... or hard if you don't. :P

If you want to get better detail, FF7 or FF9 would probably not be too bad.

And the outfits in FF10 are.... uhhh.... no. Just "no". Don't even try unless you're insane. :D

Spectre, judging from what you've said so far, I highly recomend FF8.
