Where was the original cosplay picnic supposed to be? You'd think there'd be a spot nearby that could be used... I certainly would want to stay close if I were attending, seeing as how
a) costumes can be finicky to have to drive long distances in and
b) gas prices are ridiculous right now and
c) personally, I don't know the area at all, so I'd rather not have to go back and forth all over God's Green Earth, thus multiplying my chances of getting lost.

I was actually thinking of trying to organizing one in the Bristol area sometime this summer, but I don't have time to do so now..

If there was one in CT, I'd definitely try my best to go ^_^

well, I was thinking of having it some place close by in driving distance to me. Like a park or something. (no duah) -_-. But yah. I was wondering if the ct con people would actually like something like this.

There is a nice park on the Hartford/West Hartford line... Elizabeth Park - they have a nice fowl pond and a very pretty rose garden. It is also near the govenor's mansion on Prospect St.

Another nice place that is a bit out of the way is McLean's Game Refuge in Granby, CT. I'm also fond of a town park in Marlborough, CT along a lake... I can't remember the name of it right now =(
