I'm kinda new at making costumes, but I want to mainly focus on a costume's props or weaponry.
I'm making the Halloween Town key blade from Kingdom Hearts. I have the main base of the key including the chain with the pumpkin charm, and the two loops at the top. It's made out of blue steel and silver chaining.
I'm not sure how to go about the finer details like Jack's head and the spikes, any ideas or tips?
Also, what do most people use to make staffs or swords incase I ever lose me weilding connections..Thank you!

it would probably help to make it out of styrofoam and cover it with maybe papermache or something (im afraid of using fiberglass and all >_<) because if you make it out of wood, it'll be really heavy. i cant help you with the details since i havent memorized the way it looks... maybe it would help to post a pic?

my friend made a keyblade using the frame of a tennis racket for the handle. and the rest was made out of wood. i'll try and find that picture of it.

she also used the tennis racket handle as the handle of the keyblade.

wow... um... you may or may not realize this... but this thread is over 3 years old... and the original poster hasn't been active on c.com for over 2 years now... not to mention, this isn't even the correct forum for this thread...
