I'mdoing a pyramid head cosplay in the summer, and i have no idea what to make the sword or helmet out of. I've only ever worked with fabric, i've never really done accessories. :lost:

If this topic has already been answered, sorry! Please direct me.

Thanks for the help.

I'd say sintra/komatex/xpvc. That's what I made my Pyramid Head and Great Knife out of. Wonderflex is a little too flimsy for a PH; you'd have to put a fair bit of reinforcing into it and you'd have to gesso it and whatever. If you get your xpvc in black, all you'll need is some red spray paint to give it a rusty look. No gesso-ing, sanding, priming, etc necessary.

i use plastic canvas for anything head, just because it is lightweight and can be sown together with yarn. covering it with fabric or other to make it look right, this stuff is fairly comfortable to wear all day.
a good referance site for you might be:
http://www.nicodemus.org/fursuit/
Even though it is a fursuit site, it is good ideas for making any large-sized chara mask.
hope this helps!
