You guys probably heard about this, but Dir en Grey will be touring this summer with Korn, SourStones, Deftones, and Flyleaf in The Family Values Tour. They're doing a 30-date tour in several cities and Raleigh, NC being one of those cities that they are going to play at. The Festival tickets are $9.99. You can check their site here (http://livenation.com/familyvalues2006/) for more details. I was thinking we can do a CCR met (if you're fans or just want to go) there. I am just throwing this idea out there.

As much as I like Jrock, I'm not to keen on Dir en Grey personally (they wre good in ther VK days, but now they just suck...) and I loathe Korn and don't really care for the other bands either. It'd be an interesting show i'm sure though.

I'm not big on them either...but I will think about going... because that'd be cool XP

I think most likely they are going to play at the Alltel Pavilion at Walnut Creek (http://www.alltelpavilion.com/main.html) and you can probably get tickets at Ticketmaster (http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/114763).

I would be interested in going for DeG at least. Do we know when they will be playing?

The tour kicks off at the end of July in Virginia Beach according to the website. I'm sure details will be forthcoming.

Excited about what? Seeing a bunch of terrible nu-rock/metal bands and one Jrock band that use to be half-descent before they decided to be wannabe shockrockers? :p

Just some FYI, the site says the lawn tickets are 10 bucks, but this may not be true for all sections of the venue, plus there's taxes and those ever clever venue fees as well, so expect to pay atleast 15-20 bucks total. Also with the tickets being so cheap, something tells me they will sell out fast and mainly to the kind of dilenquent and social misfit crowd that can't normally afford to see thier favorite hardcore band live, and there will probably be a bunch of very drunk and very wild people there. Also of note, since I hear this all the time from people who go to Korn concerts (the headlining act of the tour) that you don't want to be in the mosh pit for thier show unless you enjoy pain, because the pits at thier shows are known for turning into near brawls (which is pretty lame if you ask me.)

You know, I don't care, I wanna go. You don't have to.
And I also figure that the "social misfits" will get the tickets, because honestly, I can't afford more than $10 myself.
I've been to a lawn concert before, I know most people go to drink, i'm not a moron... and do you think that I am stupid enough to get in the mosh section? _

I was just talking in general Katie as a heads up for everyone who may be interested in going and may not have been to a concert before, especially about what kind of a show the Family Values tour is... I wasn't just talking to you. D:

Besides, you hate the music most of these bands play anyway, I don't see why you'd even want to go.

According to ticketmasters sight for this they do not have a NC show listed, they may add one but they dont have one listed on the ticket sight.

Also to note, after talking to a few folks I know who seem to hear all the Jrock news, Dir En Grey is not going to be on the east coast leg of the tour at all, only the west coast side and from the official site for the tour, they're probably not even coming to NC at all. Figures, not like it was gonna be worth going to anyway.

Really? Interesting...

Well, I heard that they're going to perform in Raleigh. They just haven't announce date and venue for it. Check out this site: http://deg.sevenhorns.net/familydates.html

I dunno. I guess have to wait and see. I am hoping that they do come.

Awww, that site says that it was originally announced in April, but may have been changed. That sounds like they probably won't come. Bummer.

They might end up coming then, it might just be later Sept/Oct before they do.
I just thought I might want to show what they already had up at Ticketmaster

Diru won't be coming to the east coast, because all the east coast dates are when their Japan tour will still be going on.
They ae flying out to the U.S. and playing two days later. Talk about jet lag. :/
I was looking forward to it, but in order to see them, we'd ahve to go out of state, and I was wanting to go because it'd just be $10 plus like $5 for gas if we split it like we normally do.
Oh well.

As for going out of state to see there? Maybe *sighs*
