Where could I get the plugsuit headset thingie from Eva? I'm thinking about making a Shinji costume, and I'd like to get some of those for added detail... any ideas?

Most people make their own. The most common method I see is that people will make them from Sculpey or some similar kind of clay, paint them, and then mount them on barrettes or hair clips.

So say I made them out of ceramic material, that would work?

I've heard that upholstery foam cut to shape and then covered with spandex works very well, too...

I made mine out of sculpey and them mounted them on barrettes, but for my Kaoru plugsuit (which has been pushed back due to the urge to make more Hikarus), I'll be doing the upholstery foam method. Ip ersonally think it'll look better cause it's a challenge to get large pieces of sculpey smooth.

If you do go with the sculpey method, make them with an aluminum foil core. In other words, have a piece of aluminum foil balled up into the approximate shape and then cover it with a thin layer of clay (not TOO thin, though!). The foil won't melt or anything in the oven, and not only does it svae you clay but it makes the plugs really light - like handful of popcorn. Very useful if you're going to be walking around with them on your head all day... ^_^ v
