Ok here is the advanced post.

We {as in all those who want to commute with each other} will all be meeting in the main lobby of the holiday in express. Now I think that we could all meet up for around 8:00 in the morning.

evening commutes will be decided by anyone who wants to do their own thing.

So if anyone has any suggestions, or time opinions please post soon.

Haha I live about 30 minutes away so I don't have to stay in a hotel. I love to cosplay in public people might look at you but it's still really fun, well I think so.

Yeah, but some people can be pretty cool, I was in the subway when going to anime boston and sailor moon was there and two people were like " Oh my god it's sailor moon! yo that's awsome" lol I thought it was pretty funny.

Hey Zepka again..i wanted to ask around, where is everyone staying for the con?

I myself am staying at the HolidayInn express near bushnell park, and i wanted to know if anyone else was gonna stay there? Then it wouldnt feel so wierd walking to the can/riding a bus to the con in my costume. I love cosplay, but people get wierd when they dont understand why.

So shout your hotel if you have ideas.

~Joe~

If you're staying in the Holiday Inn express make sure ya read up on the bus schedules. It's quite a walk from that hotel to the con, and I don't know how long ya plan to spend at the con each day, but it might be a tricky walk really late at night.

Heheheh.. I dont know how people here in CT will take to a bunch of people in costumes on their busses. Rofl. This con is still new so like.. It's not like baltimore where people just kind of expect it every year.

hey...i know i said this before, but is there anyone else who is staying at the holiday inn near the bushnell park?

i want to get an idea of how people who arent going to stay at the marriot are getting to and from the con if they are staying at a hotel in the city.

I'm pretty sure my group is going to end up staying at the Holiday Inn Express after all... and I know another group of about 7 or 8 cosplayers who are also staying there, plus a few other people... so you definitely won't be alone. ^_~

My friends and I will probably have a car so we'll be driving to and from the convention... we have bad experiences with buses... well of course that was in New Jersey, but still... are people really planning to walk to the con from the hotel? I didn't think it was within walking distance. o_o

Lol... heh.. yeah. I live in windsor XD Im just a quick ride up the highway to the con.. There's a lot of hotels in windsor and Windsor locks too so uh.. If you're having trouble finding one in hartford, just look one town over.

I'm thinking of staying in that Super 8 on the town border, (I'm driving, so car issues will not be an issue) Still up in the air though.

yeah, but waht about coming back. my friend says that walking in hartford in costume is a bad idea....youll get stuff thrown at you. however i would do the morning shuttle with you guys. so if we all meet infront of the hotle/in the lobby ten minutes before the shuttle then we should be good.

does anyone have any ideas for coming back? cause i know for a fact, that i normally stay late.

I've never been to Hartford before - but by the looks, it doesn't seem like the Bronx at all (or is it).

That being said, if anyone knows what it's like walking down Fenway Park at 3AM in cosplay, amidst drunken Yankees, (yes I even got a picture taken with one) -

This would seem a walk in the park.

Name:
Cosplay:
Time suggestion:{morning/going}
{night/leaving}

the going is "to the con" ext. Also i think it would be cool, becuase if we all could get rooms near each other then we all have neighbors we know.
