Everyone who lives in CT or around the hartford area knows where and what elisibth park is right? Well if you don't, and for those out of state people who are readding this, it's a big rose guarden srounded by a fountain and a big park. (duh) It might not be as big as sentreal park but at least it's something.

But i had an idea just now that we could do something like a cosplay picnic after the con. Like an after party a month or two after it! So what do you guys say?

^_^ That sounds fun. What town is the park located in, though? o_o I've never heard of it before, and I live in CT, only like a half hour from the con.

Well the issue is that people have expressed their disinterest because of the cost of gas.. >.> I'd love to go IF I could find a way.. I actually don't have transportation at all..

Maybe we can post about this in the Member Events and Gatherings forum, since it's not like an official ConnectiCon thing.. we might find more people willing to go that way. ^_^ And it can be posted on the ConnectiCon forums, too.

Actually, if a time and date for it is set by the convention, maybe we can even put a sign up for it somewhere..

yah! and i'd like to be incharge of something for a change, so this could be my thing for ct con. the date would be some time in the fall sence the summer would be half way over anyway after CT con.

sooo i'm going to ask my peeps from the staff workers if it's ok to hold this and what not. If it is then i'll have to call up the park it'self and secdual a time frame for us. >< and then theres the money factor and what not. and the amount of people going. I Just have to talk to matt about this. See if we can actually pull this off or if it's another one of my 'out there' goals.

Well, we wouldn't need permission from ConnectiCon staff to hold a cosplay thing in the same general area as the con. ^^; Unless we wanted to make it an "official" ConnectiCon thing, I guess...

We need to call the park and get a time frame and everything? We could just all pick a time to go and meet at a designated place, couldn't we? And money shouldn't be an issue--in the website's FAQ, it says that admission and parking are both free.

yah i'll do that when more people want to. And i should make flyers and stuff for it, but i guss that would have to wait till i take graphics this year in school. So i'm thinking it wont be until April Vacation(which happens to be three days after my b-day) so that would be fun for me.

or i could make flyers tommrow sence it's going to be my day off, but we need an actuall date if we are going to get this thing up and going.

Well, I think the fall sounds like a good idea. That way it won't be too hot (because nobody wants to be all sweaty in their costumes), and we wouldn't have to worry about "April showers".

I could work around the weather. I was actually thinking about going to Osaka that's in the senter of town, which is the only japenese resturant we seem to have. And then we can go back to the park for fun and desert and games and what not. But if it rains thers a little resturant we could all hide out in if we needed it.

As long as it doesn't interfere with Anime Boston, I'm up for it ^_^
