Alright, I've found the coat. I can get a wig and an eyepatch. But damn, these boots are giving me some difficulty. I can't seem to find any flat-toed boots like the members of Organixation 13 members wear. Never mind about the tops, that I can do. I just need to find the base boots for these, with flat toes. Any help is greatly appreciated. (Being a size 14 doesn't help, but usually I can squeeze into a size 13)

Maybe you are looking for something like this? link (http://cgi.ebay.com/MENS-RENAISSANCE-PIRATE-BOOTS-BLACK-W-ZIPPER-SZ-14_W0QQitemZ7775100135QQihZ018QQcategoryZ63850QQrd Z1QQcmdZViewItem)

They're size 14 and should have enough material at the top to allow for the modifications, and they seem to match your qualifications. I hope this helps!

Well, those are correct in all but the tip of the boot. They need to be flatter towards the front. Other than that, Those are great. I've got a pair like that already, and the front is too different.

This is proving somewhat difficult.

yeah.... my group and I are having problems with the boots too! XP we need boots for 13 people. but we don 't know where to find boots like that. our Marluxia said that she found some rain boots somewhere that came to the knees. and we could just cut out the design! Oo or we were just gonna buy these in black! http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=25368&cat=2484&page=1 but there girl boots. which is fine with me because i'm a girl. but the guys.... XP i don't know!! ><

I think you should look through electricboutique! It's kinda wierd... cus it's a stripper store, but it's got CHEAP shoes. xD And very nice quality ones as well.

It's where I got my organization boots. <3

I used plain old go-go boots for my Marluxia and Larxene cosplays.. I found them at the thrift store one day (a while back when I was doing Heartless Riku.. which was quite a while back). You should check thrift stores... I constantly see large amounts of boots like that there.

i was going to just use my calf high boots for my organization costume....

my brother doesn't seem to care, so he's just going to wear black pants and his nice dress shoes (which he wears everyday).

@_@

sorry, other than that, i don't know... :(

I was planning on no boots for my son's Org 13. He has big feet and is not planning to dance the can-can. Does it make that big a difference?

I want boots for mine (I'm a stickler for as much accuracy as I can manage), but I'll probably just use the ones like the ones posted in the first link. If I find any better I'll post them here.

I'm doing Blindfold Riku, and I'm going to get Gogo boots from CosWorx if I can't find anything at the store. They'll need some silver piping at the top, but that's no biggie.

Here is a site that has ankle boots, square toe, side zip for $30. They even have size 14EE.
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=250413
You should be able to add black vinyl tops.

Looking around a bit, I found a site with civil war reenactment boots that match somewhat well:

these in particular:

The heel is a bit high, though.....

Know your pain … I can’t find boots that are not $100 to fit me in the calf so I made boot covers for a pair of second hand solid men’s dress shoes.

The funny thing was for a hack job the boots where the most authentic looking out of the whole lot of Org. XIII members at Anime North this year.

lol sharpie! But what material did you use for the covers? It looks like vinal, but I'm curious (since silver sharpie + vinal = death every time I've tried) since I have to make my own too, though I suffer the other end of the spectrum, boots like that are always loose.

It is vinyl, the really cheap kind use or blinds and furniture. Sharpie works on it but it used Krylon’s Silver Leafing Pen since it’s even more shiny then the Sharpie.

I came across this 2 years ago at a scrap book place ($15CAN >_<) but I’ve found them (silver, gold and bronze) at Michaels for $9 and Walmart for $5, these things are like gold to me.

Some of the unevenness of the leafing is due to the fact I was trying to paint silver tulip fabric paint but it was taking to long to apply >_< so the first coat is that.

I'll probably alter these: http://cosworx.com/product.php?productid=26223&cat=2484&page=1
they seem the most acurate on that site to me.

I just decided to do a Demyx cosplay myself, and this is what's giving me the same trouble! ><; I'm really glad I found this thread, even if it is old...

I love those boots, Ani_BEE! o_o; I might do that, too, but I've never done boot covers before..I'd prefer to buy boots, but I can't find any that work well.

Hatake_Kakashi - I thought about that too, but they probably zip up the side, and I don't know how well cutting through the zipper would work even if you could. x_x;

Edit: I just talked to my mom about it...and she knows a way to fix those boots like that. I'll probably do the same thing. <3

I am rezzing this thread. Also.
I definitly like the idea of the Go-Go boots from Cosworx and all that, but the problem for is - I'm like... 5' 2' (cosplaying Axel x-x) And I can't seem to find anything with a large enough heel to alter and make accurate enough.
They all have spikes, buckles, bells...

I know tons of cosplayers who add a touch of flair to their Axel costume by using platform or buckled boots. [Like Demonica boots and stuff. They're mad cool.]
I'm wearing some simple long, almost thigh-length platform boots for my Axel costume. I think it'll suit how flamboyant he can be. ;D

this thread is tons of help for me. I'm planning to do an Axel cosplay and it's hard to find good boots especially for me (is 4'9). I may go and find different boots or I may stick to the pair I already own though I can easily hid the back laces

They have all types of boots. Plain and simple to crazy and spiked. Look through the mens and womens for a type.

if you want it to be like the organization boots. get a basic styled boot. no fixings.

That is a tutorial on how to make covers for them. Or you can take it to a shoe repair store to have them altered to look like the organization boots. (I would recommend a cheaper pair so that you have the money to alter them professionally.)

Hope this helps. ^^

I bought a pair of pleather boots from walmart that are perfect for orgi13 members the brand was 725 (aka the walmart brand) I picked up a pair for 9$ they even zipper up the side and the zipper remains hidden for the most part and are form fitting. Only problem is that it doesn't have the whte/grey piping at the top and the top design other than that I find their perfect.

You're not going to find a pair of pre-made boots with the exact design. they're pretty specific.

I used a silver vinyl belting that I found at JoAnns for the silver parts on my boots. I cut out the outline shapes and glued them using heavy-duty fabric glue to the boot itself.

Im having issues as well, two reasons..

A) Its my first cosplay, and I am a perfectionist
B)I want to add my own flair but dont want to take away from my costume

for my riku my first attempt at the org 13 boots is cutting up a used pair of pull on english riding boots and attaching the silver piping to the top and painting the heel.. I will post pictures if it will work neh..

Wow, go go boots...anyway, what I was going to do for my Demyx cosplay was to use a pair of anarchic boots I bought from work last Halloween and simply unscrew the metal plating on them. They add more of a goth/punk look, but it saves money.

If you wanted to go all out, I recently saw some cool Doc Martins that looked similar to the boots the Organization XIII members were, though those are definitely way over $100 a pair. I can attest though that they last for a LONG time once you do dole out the money for them.

Necroing the thread to showcase my own boots- But unless you're rolling in riches or are going to make heavy use of the costume (or want the boots for daily wear and costuming), I don't recommend it for the cost. Me, I bought them almost out of frustration at not being able to find anything else even remotely accurate and not wanting to buy footwear online.

Berliew-97 boots from Aldo.....nearly $200 CAD. Knee high, genuine leather, metal zipper, elastic gore on the top to add extra stretch around your upper leg, and VERY durable. And except for not having the curvy top piece, almost bang-on accurate.

I have a boot issue as well. We're all very OCD when it comes to the height being correct, and I'm the same height as my Axel, taller than my Zexy, and shorter than Dem-Dem and Xiggy. I'm being Roxas which means I gotta be shorter than the others and Axel has boots to make her tall, we're looking for some for me and Zexy though. I need to not have a heel in my boot so I can be shorter than Zexy, or at least the same height. So does anyone know where I can get some boots without a heel in the back?

Yeah im cosplaying Org. 13 and im most likely to purchase the kiki-350 Black PUs' on Electricboutique like TerukiHolic said. Im not going to go the silver lining on top 'cause im lazy like that, but you could always cut them or use Vinal.

i found a person who makes the proper organisation 13 boots

if you need them this site might help, and its not too expensive

PERSONALLY, I think any black boot would be sufficient for organization 13.
I think the boots with all the straps and the buckles and the zippers look really good under the coat.
But that's just what i think.

You can check out Hot Topic for boots. Here is an example I'm looking to use for Zexion: http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Shoes/Boots/Wanted-Black-Three-Buckle-Combat-Boots-165703.jsp
I;ll just hange a few things on them myself, or keep them the same. I think they'd look pretty good for the costume.

Has anyone tried painting patent shoes? I've been looking around and whenever I like the shape they're way too shiny, so I was wondering if a matte clear coat would work?

i can't decide which boots to keep or if i should try to find better boots. one is too short and the other one is a little bit too long
i think the shoe part of the short boot looks better than the other boot but it's not long enough

The short boots do look better, shape wise. You could do what everyone else seems to be doing and making one of those covers/slips to make it longer?
