Before I buy a wig, I'd like to know just what I should use on it.
I'm going to be making a Charlie (Street Fighter Alpha/Cannon Spike) wig, and while the hair isn't spikey, the bangs are oddly shaped and jut out. After scanning through the other threads, I've noticed that many people opt for simple hair spray and gel, but I've heard of people using glue as well.
What would you all recommend?

Well, gel wont do you any good. It's made to work with the pores in natural hair, which synthetic hair doesn't have. So it'll be a gooey mess if you try to use it.
Hairspray will be your savior with this. I also reccomend getting some thin wire (try jewelry wire) and working it into the bangs in ther middle where it can't be seen. It'll give it structure and shape.

Yea, what rain said. I don't know whose been using gel on their hair, but if it's hair gel, that's bad, though I've never used it, I know Elmers makes a gel glue, so maybe they meant that?
Hair spray is what I'd say is all you need, but putting in some wire is a good idea to, just don't forget to pull it back far enough to form a good anchor. Seriously, all you need to do is secure yer wig, tilt the wig head horizontal, and then just spray leave it, spray it, leave it, spray it, leave it, the only thing I'm worried about is the sides, you might have to put in some extra wefts if it gets cut to short, so be careful there.

Ah, wire. That would work nicely. And I'll stock up on some hair spray.
Thank you very much. ^_^
