I am going to help a friend make a Spider-Man costume & I was wondering what materials etc. would be best to use. Also,is there any online fabric stores that have the EXACT color fabric? What should the webs be made out of?Oh yeah, how should we go about putting in a zipper? Thanks for your help!I have attached 2 pics ^_^ Thanks again!

I am pretyy sure it's made out of Neoprine(sp?) and I'm pretty sure that stuff will run you quite a pretty penny. As for the exact colors it's a generic blue and red (to me anyway) but remeber that the material has sort of a honeycomb shading on the actual material so this one os going to be quite hard to get dead accurate.

Good call, I've been in that thread quite a bit.

You'll find people do it many different ways. For the webbing, lots use the acrylic tulip paint. It looks good, but it can become separated and broken fairly easily and over time it will dry and crack further. Most high quality suits use urethane webbing, but these are pretty expensive as I am learning.

I owned a suit with acrylic webs, but have since sold it on eBay:

I'm having a new one made using more accurate spider emblems since the Spiderman III trailer showing all the new black costume details just came out. My new suit will be made with urethane webs.
