I'm in need of somewhere to say on the monday night. I have a room for Thursday thru Sunday night confirmed.

If anyone is staying at the hotel on Monday (4th) night and can fit me in for the night, it would be greatly appreciated. My flight out leaves DFW at 10:30am on Tuesday 5th.

Thanks ^_^

. . . I kinda need a room too. It's not really for me, it's for my costumes mostly. I had been thinking of sleeping in my truck to save a few bucks, but I do need somewhere to change and keep my costumes out of the heat. If anyone has vacancy in their room for Fri, Sat, and Sunday night (for not too much $$), please let me know. I'd be happy to meet some more Texan cosplayers.

Aww, you guys are breaking my heart. I don't mind being a homeless cosplayer for the weekend, but everytime I leave my armor and/or props in the car for the day, bad things happen. If not for me, then do it for the costumes!

T____T I know that pain. If I wasn't in crash space I would at the very least let you store stuff...but it's not my room so I can't help out.

The Texas sun can be very crule to costumes

I don't think too many people will be staying monday night >_> I might have been willing to help you out if you wanted to pitch in a little for any other night, but we're only staying Friday-Sunday x_x;;

*sigh*

The reason I like to stay at the hotel the last night of a convention is because it is a major hassle to have to check out of the hotel during the convention. Because then you have to find somewhere to store baggage, and have somewhere to change if you're cosplaying on the last day.

Either way, my flight out of Dallas isn't until 10.30am on Tuesday 5th and I've got no where to stay on Monday night.

if You can't find a room- your best bet is to get a ride over to the airport and stay in one of the travel inns along the highway that have free shuttled to the airport. It'd be hell of a lot cheaper, since I'm fairly positive Afest rate wont apply to monday night at the hotel.

and astillar.. I'm not sure, but my room -might- have some room for stuff. I'm not sure though, it all depends on what people bring (we've got 10 people in one of the suites.. I've never stayed in one, so I don't know their size XD) I'll try to see what the room-leader-person says.. and get back to you. If I don't, I'll know for sure at the actual convention.

I have to agree with Amaya. Though you could call the hotel and see what they have avaliable for Monday or see if you can stay in your room through Tuesday. You might get lucky and find that the con rate applies to that night as well, it does for some cons at least for AUSA it does. Though I wouldn't swear to it for this con.

I think I might have to try to get a hotel somewhere closer to the airport for monday night. If I could stay in the room I have on Monday night, I wouldn't have posted this thread in the first place ^^;;.

Does anyone know if the hotel has a guest laundry? Their website says they have laundry and dry cleaning service, but that likely means that I can pay them some premium rate to clean my clothes. >_<;;

I have room, if you'd still need it. It's just me, my bokken, and my little black suitcase that are in my room, so there's plenty of space.

Okay, that's enough. Be quiet. Go back to your room.
Although the point's moot now, I thank you for your offer, Amaya. With ten roommates, it's probably best I didn't have to take you up on it.

Wish I could help you out but Khene and I have to leave on Monday since we've got a 10 hour drive to make. I would just look for a room at a hotel closer to the airport and get up early to check out before the rush. I've noticed that people wait until the last moment to check out at a con hotel so the longest lines are right at noon. There is also the possibility that you can do e-checkout from your room or from terminals in the hotel lobby. The Hyatt in Chicago that where ACen is hosted at has this option and I've noticed it at other hotels too. It's quick and painless and gets you out the crowded situation at the checkout desk at noon.

I realize none of these options will prevent you from having to store your belongings between times. The only option that might would be if you could get a room at the con hotel through Monday night. You might have to change rooms but at least your stufff would be in a room and not in storage.
