I was just ever so curious if any were going ^___^ I'm going as Esther Blanchett and wanted to see if a group could be put together for some photos!
I've seen some really great Trinity Blood cosplayers about, I hope some are attending! <3

Oy, no one? Well I'm hoping to have Catherina done in time for NDK...sooooo many details to create! I'm also trying to talk a friend into making Sister Paula's red inquisition outfit(not her Ivy wannabe outfit), but we'll see, we're both procrastinators of the highest calliber.

!! Ah! I wanted to do Abel this year! The anime's costume would have been rather easy to put together, but I was begged to play a differnt character! You will be glomped when I see you though! I think I'll do Abel next year, would give me time to put to gether an awsome Manga version with the armor instead ^^

Nemo and I have Abel and Noelle, which are ready, and which we'll be bringing. We may have a friend's Tres with us. These are the simpler anime versions. Hey, it's what the guys wanted to do. ;)

Like FeyMeggan, I am working on a Caterina, but with my job in the way I am progressing at the speed of a rabid snail. However, I'm still hoping for it. I'll be wearing all of my suits in the halls, because I'll only be there for one day, and I don't want to miss the convention.

At any rate, it sounds like there will be several TB suits there, so if we can get together for photos on Saturday, that would be coo-el.

... I am progressing at the speed of a rabid snail.

LOL I know that feeling, I only just now started on her outfit (other than the skirt I'd already cut out), but hopefully I"ll have it mostly done by the end of this week. I need to figure out how to do her cape-thing...I can do full circle cloaks, but this is a different shape entirely! I'm also bitter cause the wig I ordered for her is too ginger! I'm debating just dying my hair...haven't been blonde in a while....

I can't wait to see other TBers! You shall all be tackled and glomped if I can find you! Aaaaand harrassed into photoing with PF ;) I'm all for a photo time on Saturday, but probably either early before the costume/cosplay contests or well after 'em.

I'm gonna die. ;-; I'm sad though, I can't do the massive detailing on the dress like I want, so it'll end up being the version straight from the anime. It's nearly done. XD And I know. I'm progressing at the speed of a rabid snail too. It sucks.

Ester?

Damn. I was thinking about going as Abel Nightroad, but I doubt I'll finish the costume in time. I would LOVE to see your Ester, however. Glad to see some TB fans :D!

Any idea yet on when we could do some photos?

yay, nearly done with catherina...stupid hat is giving me fits though. I can't seem to figure out the shape on it. Uhm, for times we should probably consult the 'list' and see what times aren't going to conflict since lots of people have a few different costumes.

We could all just agree to meetup somewhere seperate from other people? :/ I dunno. I haven't seen 'the list' yet.

FeyMeggan
09-14-2006, 11:14 AM
Sorry, didn't mean to be confusing, I meant this list of times for photo shoots (http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=88680). I'm not sure if any of the TB cosplayers are going to be in any of the other ones listed, that's why I suggested confering with the list. If no one is going to those we can set something up ourselves, but by making sure it's not conflicting that gives people the oportunity to come see it if they want without time issues. And wow, that was a ramble and a half.

09-15-2006, 01:34 PM
I'm not involved in any of those shoots, and would be happy to do any time on Saturday. I would prefer to do an afternoon/evening shoot, because these are complicated suits, and I would like to maximize my time of getting into my room to dress.

So...I guess we should find out if any of you other TB folks are in any of the other shoots, and/or if a later afternoon shoot would get in the way of masquerade prep?

I'm not in any of the other ones either, however I will be in the cosplay comp. so as long as it doesn't conflict I'm fine with any time.

o.o I'm in the KH and the Final Fantasy shooot soooo anytime that's not revolving around those. XP

Will you be wearing Caterina in the cosplay comp? If that's the case, we'll want to try to do this shoot around then. :) If not, we'll go afternoon(ish).

Let me know.

I don't think I am, isn't that only for the masters competition? If it's not I need to get my rear in gear and get the details finished...well I need to do that anyway LOL But I agree that before would be better and thus far the only person that has a conflict has it occur around 11 am. There are two gaps in the photo shoot times, and one is at 1pm, the other is any time after 3pm, but I don't recall when they start herding up the costumers for the competition. Should we tentatively say 1pm?

okay, and now for the officially dumb question I get to ask. We're meeting up at 1pm for photos...where are we meeting? Do we want to do the atrium-type area near the bar or somewhere else in the hotel?

Well I'm bound to run into one of you, I dunno where to meet up. :/ but PLEASE stop me if you see me to let me know, alright? I'm in for the photoshoot *le heart*

Okies, I"ll be sneaking out of the main room where the AMVs are showing...my friends and I all entered it so at least I shouldn't have too much trouble getting the end seat. See y'all at 1pm :D

:: sweatdrop :: soon soon I swear soon! my friend is holding them ransom(since we took them on her camera) for the rest of the images I took that weekend, hopefully I'll have them later this week. Also! Ran into a Tres and Ester later in the weekend! We(being Ester and myself and our friends) have decided next year we need a bigger, more organized group!

Edit
Okay, so I've started uploading into my gallery in the NDK 2006 folder. I've got another fourty or so images to get up, so it'll be slow going. HOwever, since Abel starts the alphabet some of the TB images are already up!

Dude, I wish I had read this *before* the con! I had the Tres costume in the car when you guys got together for pics! I saw Abel in the dealer room, and he said he was changing costumes/clothes soon. Then I ran into Noelle in the atrium when I was still in the little Kakashi cosplay but couldn't find her later.

Yes, I was the Tres!

By the way, tell your friend that Gungrave's guns are my next tedious project. :toothy:

Tres! I was so glad to see you, and had my costume been more managable(since caterina isn't very moving friendly) I would have violated all glomping rules! Its a bummer we coudln't get more of a group together, but I say we plan now for a group next year! Though that then puts me in the bind of if I want to do the same costume or make more...these things are addictive!

and off-topic, the guns for grave were so fun to make(I made her whole outfit/prop set) while they weren't perfect I had fun playing with cardboard, hot glue and paint!

Edit:
And now I've finished uploading the pictures I have; more Noel and new Tres are now in my NDK 2006 (http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.php?cat=55454&member=41560) gallery. And for anyone else with pictures I'd love to see 'em! I know that certain parties forgot their camera, so use the pictures as you need.

:chatah:

You coulda glomped me! (Although I actually still have a bruise from a very violent glomp from earlier that day while wearing the kiddie Kakashi cosplay. Beware of random Temaris..

Hey, thanks for posting the pics! I saw the ones that Eurobeat took of you, which were far better than my (erm) shot, but let me know if you want another one! :)

My Brandon guns are going to be made of wood and plumber's putty. Let's hear it for the plumber's putty! Whether it's cardboard or wood, it's all about having fun doing it. That's why I quit electric welding prop sections out of aluminum. Because aluminum plating is the devil!

I hope you make some more Trinity Blood costumes, because you did an awesome job with Catherine! They *are* addictive, aren't they? By next year, my Tres will be upgraded a bit. Better pauldrons and a little ear communicator prop of some sort, like he has in the artbook. I'm also going to try and build a small red LED light to go behind the sunglasses on one side. Because we know it's all about the bling in Trinity Blood! :skidude2:

All righty...I've loaded Fey Meggan's Trinity Blood pictures into a Trinity Blood NDK 2006 folder. Thanks, Fey Meggan. Yes, I did get one of Esther and Tres in there as well. :)

As others show up in EBK's photos, I will add those as well.

::evil grin::
Oh I definately have plans for more TB costumes. Right now on my 'I-think-I'll-go-insane-and-make-them' list is Caterina's RCO outfit, and the pope...and yeah, everyone looks at me like I'm a loon when I mention the pope, but I lurve the li'l whiney-boy. I'm also going to upgrade Caterina's outfit from this year, there's toooooons of details to add on, and the wig to improve. I wish my friends weren't all moving out of state...I'd make/force/plead/beg them to go in other character costumes.

::wincing:: and glomping bruises suck I'm sure, and I'd never truely glomp someone...most my costumes are fragile. As for graves guns, be careful with wood, the other gungrave guy had wood ones and they were too heavy to pose with(even for him).

I'm working on Wolfwood's cross right now and can already tell that it's practically going to have to be on rollers to carry it around!

The pope is awesome! What a little whiney baby! And hey, I can get some people together, too, for a Trinity Blood group at Nan next year. I think they'll be a lot more cosplayers for the anime next year, since Funimation is releasing it.

There was a Catherine at Shiokazecon in April or so in Houston, and she had the biggest freaking hat I've ever seen! That was actually my intro to Trinity Blood, because my friend really wanted to make the costume so we asked her what it was from and bought the anime and artbook. If you want to see some good pics of her, check out www.skypirate.net and go to his Shiokazecon album. He won't let people link, but I can go over there and at least find the page it's on in a sec.

Going to Oni-con in Houston next weekend and may take the Tres along just for funsies! :)

rane

Okay, it looks like he didn't get any pics of her at Shiokazecon! But if you look in his Texas photo shoot folder, he has three pics of her Catherine -- 1 on page 9 and 2 on page 10.

Skypirate is one of the sweetest guys. He takes great pics and is so supportive of cosplaying in Texas. :)

FeyMeggan

...if you can get more people together I'm more than willing to make costumes for 'em! I had so much fun making everyones costumes this year I'm willing to do it next year. My two best friends are moving away in the spring :( one to the west coast and one to the east, so I'll have most of my cosplay buddies MIA next year. My one last cosplay buddy is being all dull and doesn't want to dress up any more, but I have to be supportive...so no pressure until closer to next con ;)

I have to admit the hat is the whole reason I started wanting to do Caterina...then I learned the power of the monocle! That li'l round bit o' glass got results I never expected LOL So yay for the cardinal! I wish I had the funds to be able to go to more cons, but I usually have to stick to one or two a year(the second being a splurge on Comic Con...yay for combining all my favs, comics, anime and cosplay).

As for it being more popular next year...yeah, but I like the artbook stuff more than the anime, so we'll see how many do which one...and talk about a stuttering sentence!

rane

Your friend totally made me LOL, because my anime friends are the same way. I usually have to make their costumes to get them to go...Personally, I don't get it, because making the costume is half the fun!

I totally agree with you on the artbook vs. the anime. The artbook is just over-the-top -- the intricacy of it. I think people really gravitate to the artbook illustrations, because the costumer in us all gets a little glittery-eyed when we look at it. :geek: I'd love to do the pope costume, as well. LOVE that hat!!!

And I totally hear you about the little things, like the monacle, just giving you something that makes the costume feel like it comes together. I would do young Walter from Hellsing if only he could have the monacle that old Walter has! It's all about the little touches sometimes. :)

There's a small Trinity Blood group forming at Oni-con next week. If they post a photoshoot time, I'm going to take the Tres costume with me and will get some pics and send 'em! :)
