Coscom, I need some advice. I want to make a small dice bag and I want to have a totally unique pattern: Soviet hammer and sickle symbols. XD

What one friend suggested was to use a good quality printer and iron-on transfer paper to set the pattern, but I want to know if there's a way that I can get a custom fabric print done.

Does anyone have any advice or experience with this sort of thing?

In b4 a billion "In Soviet Russia, dice bag sews YOU!" jokes. :-P

Other than looking up a print house that specialises in fabric print technology you next bet would be to find a tradeshow booth manufacturer. They tend to be smaller and are more of them around but all of them can print on fabric, papper, and plastics for the back slash panels and if they are a good company they will do a test run first to make sure that print quality is what you want it to be (same goes for a print house) but I think the trade show booth will be cheaper over all.

Also have you looked into t-shirt shops? They have the means to do short run fabric prints as well.
They pretty much exist because of kids after school sports craze parents want there little tykes to fell special and the older ones want it for recognition.

What about a simple silk-screening? Would that work for you? There's some websites about how to do it, and there's one in LJ somewhere that has a tutorial that uses an embroidery hoop and white glue.

Ah, here it is...
