Is anyone going to comicworld hk this year? :)

Me and my friends are SUPER beginners and don't know what to expect..we're tihnking there's alot of cosplayers and it's really fun and take pictures en stuff :D is anyone else going? we'll be the ones in Itachi and Neji hahaha :D

Is there any other cosplay conventions in hong kong this year???:eek:

Well, I've been to CW HK once. If you cosplay, you must register at the 登記室 with a small extra fee. Don't know about this year, the lighting in the location is quite dark. Lots of 同人stuff selling there. I bought some very good one.

Besides Asia(SONY) Game Show in Dec and 漫畫節 in summer, there are some organized by student organization in universities. Then of course there is another CW in late summer.

I am not in HK now, so cannot go to any. CW is a nice con, so have fun.
(I remember the MC is very funny...at least for that year

Good question, unfortunately I don't know the answer.
I am still a n00b too. But you're in HK, so I think it will be easier for you to find out. BTW, after CW, you can go to the nearest mall there to take some sticker pictures at the arcade with your friends in costumes too.

To bad I'm not going to HK this year. I'll probably be visiting HK next year I hope to attend the cons there sooner or later. (@.@) I haven't been there in a while.

OMG Itachi and Neji! I like them as a pairing :D

Anyway, I'll go because this is the last major event before summer.

But, er, just a warning because I don't want you to feel disappointed after the event. The organisation of CWHK23 is very bad. The changed from two halls to one so around 70 douji stalls have been cut and there's no stage for cosplay performance. And then they introduce another stupid rule which make everyone even angrier, but it's not related to cosplay so I won't talk about it.

Anyway, since they cut one hall, the place will be even more crowded and stuffy then before. It would be better if you go as early as possible if you're interested in buying doujishi. Besides, the queue will be long. Even though I arrived before the opening hour, I still spent two hours in the queue last time. Also, the worst thing is that the queue will be outdoor this time so it would be better to take a jacket if it's cold that day. And it would be better if you bring your own food because no food will be available after 2:30pm.

So, um, yeah, CW kinda suck this time, but it's still one of my favourite event. So I hope that you'll have fun :D

haha thats alot of info thanks :D are u gona cosplay too? wat r u gona cosplay as :rockon: maybe we'll cross paths with each other.....durign the lines hahhaha im reconsidering if i should be itachi or gogo yubari (crazy killer school girl) hahaha
