kurumi...

[ai no hoshi]

i am making a kurumi costume, and i'm not sure how to make her sleeves.

i've thought of a few ways to pull it off, but i'm looking for more.
i want them to look exactly like the pic, and if you look closely, they don't touch her arm. i'm not worried about them touching my arm, but i want the stiff bubble look that they have.

Hmmm.. you could use paper mache (sp?) or maybe make like, a wire cage and put the cloth over it?

Maybe you could hollow out styrofoam spheres, and cover them with batting and fabric?
