Halloween Party - Montreal

Hey there everyone!
Since Halloween is coming really fast, and we're still advertising about the Otakuthon Halloween party, here's the info about it! Of course, coming in cosplay would be appreciated for those who can!

Ready to party? Want to show off your Halloween costume for all to see? Otakuthon will be having a Halloween Party on Friday, October 31st 2008 between 7:30pm and 11:30pm at the Salle Polyvalente du Coeur des Sciences de l'UQAM!

Date: Friday, October 31st, 2008
Time: 7:30pm

Normally, there will be food available for those who do not want to go outside just to buy some (won't be expensive, don't worry about that!), and the coat/bag check is 2$, with a doorman, therefore supervised ^^
Also, some games are planned, a little masquarade at the end, prizes, a photoshoot area (with a photographer with fixed time, otherwise you can also bring your own camera), and, of course... Dance, with a DJ! ^^

It was fairly small but it was fun to see everyone again!

The 'Smallnest' of the Party is mainly due to the fact that we didn't made publicity at Otakuthon or whatnot for it, plus it was the 1st year, so ^^
Perhaps next year, if we can make some advertisement at Otakuthon, that would help a lot!

And Rawrchu, you NEED to wear your Aizen cosplay again someday (or Rukia is gonna kill us all XD)! Perhaps the next Bleach photoshoot, the Christmas diner one, we could try not to walk around in China Town and just find another place ^^

Anyway, hope to see more people at the next Halloween party (there MUST be another one, I HOPE!)

Nah, I didn't take it bad, dont worry about that ^^
And you pic, hmm... I'll have to recheck back home to be sure, but I believe you don't appear like a shadow on that one XD

Sadly enough, I don't think there's going to be a Christmas party, or well, not an Otakuthon one anyway (they don't seem that willing to do another one for Xmas, so).


PS: Appearing as a black spot can be interesting, in some pictures you look like Link's Shadow, that fits! :P

it was not the 1st year, it happened also two years ago. Don't assume it's the 1st one 'cause there wasn't one last year.

The low attendance is mainly because no publicity was made until 2 weeks in advance, meaning that every club had the time to organise and advertise their own events.

I meant it was the first one organised by those organising it (ouf, too many similar words in that last sentence!). Some problems with the way it was to be managed and all, switching from a group party to one sponsored by Otakuthon etc, I don't want to go into details here about that, so!
And for the publicity, well, look at above problem, once again, next time it should be more efficient (at least let's hope so).

By the way Darklink, I looked at your picture yesterday, except the bit of sweat (which is kinda normal, it was hot in there, seriously!), it's a perfectly fine one ^^

Hmmm sweat, i don't exactly remember WHEN the picture was taken, so it might have been right after i got done re-doing my make up in the bathroom + spraying the sealer on it (which would probably be the 'sweat' you're seeing on the picture)

Cause honestly if i was sweating, it would be literally melting off my face :P

Yeah, I know about the publicity, and I'm not blaming the girls who do their very best to make this party the Halloween Party everyone should go to. Hopefully, next year, some people will finally open their eyes and begin to act instead of waiting everything to come... and I'm not talking about the Party director and her team

KoopaT, I'm sorry, I forgot all my pictures at Mtl this weekend, so I couldn't send it to you (obviously I wasn't in Mtl this weekend). I'll send you a PM tonight if I don't do too much overtime ^^

And now let's just hope they'll be quick enough to decide next year so PERHAPS they'll have some publicity at Otakuthon -_-;;; But, hmmm.... Halloween next year is a saturday this time, no? At least it's easier to have a longer party (main thing that people complained about, the party time... But then again, there was Uqam rules and all, so. Oh, and oh my, more time to place stuff, wow!)
