Hello all!

Alright, I know there's a thread on the official Otakuthon forum, but since it's not everyone that goes there (or have an account for that matter), I was wondering who's participating in it, either a game piece or a support piece. Otakuthon is coming FAST!
Also, who's going to come watch it? ^^ Anything else related to it goes here as well I guess XD

Little info: This year, it's Girls VS Guys, so we'll see who'll win this time! (and how many 'real' guys there will be, I fear we'll be more girls than guys at that game XDDD)
Girls is people cosplaying female characters, and guys is people cosplaying male character, meaning yes, we could have 'real girls' in the guys team, but also 'real guys' in the girls team!

So yup yup, so who's in?
So far, no more place left, BUT there is always the backup pieces (if a piece doesn't show up) or support character that always make a game more interesting ^^

Alright, just to say I'll compile the list of characters on the first post for those interested, from what we have on the Otakuthon forum and all, but it is made by the girls side player, so it is not necessary official ^^ I'll update the cosplay.com forum name when those are reveal, but the ones for now are the other forum names.
Only thing I can say, if things go according to plan, this year should be quite entertaining to see :D

Gender of the character ^^ Meaning probably more 'real girls' than 'real boys', lol.

And sorry for those waiting for the list, but first the players themselves are waiting for it (though it's ok, the organizer was quite busy lately) and well, looks like they want to keep the secrecy until the game for the watchers!

I would love to participate! I will be attending as Sephiroth, and do not mind what piece I would be placed as.

Well, all pieces are found now (the time limit for inscription was june 20th, but they continued until they got all their pieces). Though you could be a replacement piece, or even better, a support piece (we do, after all, have a Cloud in the guys piece!). If you want to, just either send an email to:

* cosplaychess@otakuthon.com
- Just follow the site instructions, meaning http://www.otakuthon.com/2009/reglements/echecs_costumes/ They could place you as a replacement piece (meaning if a piece doesn't show up, you could play as that one)

* send a post at the official thread
- http://forums.otakuthon.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2865&start=500 Sorry if most is in french, but you can ask for translation and people will more than likely do it for you, since it's a billingual thread ^^

* send me a pm
- I'll see if Cloud is interested (I'd be surprise if she wasn't!), if so I'll tell you asap (probably within a day) and Cloud will be able to add you as its support piece, and I'll let you guys take care of your special scenes ^^ For an example, I have Kaname as my support piece (I'll be Zero from Vampire Knight), and he may once in a while help me in my attacks or simply gets on my nerves all game long by standing next to Yuuki.

I've sent my info by email to every chess pieces today so you won't have to wait anymore for that :)

We are full with 2 persons on the waiting list for now so the best option would be to apply for a support character

Thans to all of those who came, pieces OR audience, this year's cosplay chess was simply put A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! And especially thanks to jusdepomme who organised it, and even more to the players and sound mixer, because withouth them it would have been quite not the same!
See you guys next year! :D
