Chopper's Hat!

I want to make a hat like Chopper's but I have no idea where to start.
Like um.... for starters...what kind of material(s) would work best?

get one of those furry big hats(a red one) and add cardboard or plastic(you decide) shaped as antlers attached. that is all i can say. oh and use tape for teh x.

A friend of mine used 1" foam, dyed (I think he said in the bathtub), and glued together to build a very nice Chopper hat. He did the version without antlers but you could probably use more foam or wire and fabric (kindof like how the cheap christmas headbands are made) to attach antlers to it.

It occurred to me I should have offered you a picture to go with my description there... ^^

Oh, and for the X he painted that on, it looks great close-up.

Don't forget! Chopper's hat is PINK, not red, like I see in so many Chopper cosplays. Also, you can take the easy way out.

You need some sheets of pink posterboard - Draw a circle around your head, and another bigger one outside. Cut the first circle (the one inside) and the second. First is for the inside of your head, second is the brim. Then, roll up one of the sheets, cut some it at the top, and then tape the ends together. Then, use the inner circle you cut, and make it as the top. Use some tape for the X. Use some light brown felt for the ears. And for the antlers, I just used some painted cardboard, but some felt with wire in it might work.

For the rest of the costume, I just used a brown long sleeved shirt, and brown sweatpants with some black shorts over them. Also, I didn't paint my whole face brown....just my nose blue.
