NieA_7 was so charming, I think that is my favorite, though I like them all, except Texhnolyze which I haven't seen ^_^

Yeah, NieA is my favorite too. That show is so funny!
I liked Lain the first time I saw it, but it's kind of lost my interest over time. I guess I got kind of turned off from it, because I've heard so many hard core internet nerds (as in people who are online 24/7 and haven't seen the light of day since the internet's invention) talking about how much they "identify" with the show and calling the internet "the wired" and such.. :eeek:
I haven't seen all of Haibane Renmei, but I liked the episodes that I saw. The concept is really cute. I thought it got kind of boring at times, though.

Hmmm... I have yet to see Texhnolyze so I can't quite judge that one. However, Haibane Renmei and Lain are two of my favorite series EVER -- not just of abE's. I love the depth of though in Lain, but I love the fantasy aspects of Haibane (merged with the perpetual feelin that things are not as they always seem). Overall, I love the dept of the charater designs and the animation and the sheer cinematography. They're also two of the few series I've ever encountered that make amazing use of silence, as well as dialogue and music
