Can anyone help me find a place to get lavender knee high boots? I'm having a terrible time finding anything, and will consider anything that doesn't have spike heels. Thanks.

u might want to try getting them in another color, esp lighter (ie white or a lite beige) and paint them, or if u possibly can with the material , dye them. U can also look on costume stores and shoestores online, or check e-bay otherwise. I'll take a looksee too

^^; Hehe, last time I needed a pair of matching fabric shoes to my outfit, I just made 'em. I'd say 'boot covers' but I glued the derned stuff on with e6000, it ain't coming off ._.;; Aaah... there are boot cover tutorials out there :3 Also, if you wind up buying a pair of boots, and then want to paint them purple, I strongly recommend using shoe paint. It's not so hard to find :3 It surprised me, actually. It's durable, yet flexible enough to hold up, keeping my Iris ballet shoes yellow without cracking. You can find it in shoe repair places, or even a place that deals largely in leathergoods and repairs.

Thanks for the advice!
Lilli, what is e6000? Where do you find it?

I have seen a few lavendar boots on ebay that would be suitable for Lina Inverse, but probably would be cheaper to get white ones and paint them as Alaria suggested

Hey-yelp! Anyone know where I can find plain white boots or white boot covers really cheap?

e6000 is industrial strength glue. You can find it at any craft store in the glue aisle. There's also shoe goop which works really well too. To make a boot cover you can get some stretchy fabric like lycra (the stuff they make swim suits out of) in whatever color u need. You lay out the fabric with it folded in half so there's 2 layers. You sit on top of it and you point your toes so they're parallel to the floor. You then draw a line on the fabric to where you want the boot to go on your leg, then add a few inches then use the thickness of your leg at that point and draw a rectangle down the fabric and to the point of your big toe. You're left with a long rectagle. simply sew up one long edge of the rectangle. Put on the shoe you're covering and unfold the rectagle so it's right side out and all u see is a seam. The seam is your front seam. So place it on the shoe and on your leg and pin the back edges together where it'll form a nice tight fit. This is trial and error so you'll have to keep taking in the stitching on the back until you get a fit you're happy with. And you'll probably need to take it in on the front part only where it gets to the ankle and the toe of the shoe. You'll be left with a shape of your leg with the shoe once you're done sewing up the back seam. Then you simply hem up the bottom edge on the shoe shape and you fit it to the shoe and glue it down there along the hemmed edge with the e6000 or shoe goop. Then you let the glue dry over night so it sets good. Then the next day you put on the now boot and then you fold the top edge down until you get the right height you want. Then you pin it and sew that edge and trim all the seams and voila a boot. You can also add a zipper if you want instead of using stretchy fabric but it might change things and if you want the zipper in the back then the 1st seam you sew will be with the zipper and would be the back seam.

:D that reminds me of my white boot covers. I made them for my Haruko costume and I wore em too much so they fell apart. >< I dont remember how I made em eather I just sewed them and it took me about 4 hours. Boots are never cheap, sadly. -_-
Oh to the original question, Id say buy white ones and paint them like the first person said... Its so hard to find lavender boots.
