I've gotten all positive feedback on this so far, but I wanted to post it here in hopes of getting some criticism^^ I put a lot of effort into this, and I'm willing to put in more so that it's perfect!!

Any helpful comments/ideas would be most appreciated ^_^

Ooh! You used the pretty pearls that I have gotten into lately. I wish the picture was better angle/lighting so I could see the gems shine, but oh well. I really love it. You freaking nailed it. Love the trim, too.

that's absolutely gorgeous, it definitely looks like you put a lot of effort into it and it really shows!

as for criticisim, the red and green jewels look a bit dark and get lost on the black. i'm guessing that they are glass and being clear, the black of the head dress goes right through them making them darker then they really are.

but things always look darker inside, in natural light and if the jewels have the right effect you're going for then, they're perfect.

honestly, it's a beautiful piece. great work ^_^

About the jewels looking dark because they are clear, maybe if you painted a solid color on the back (of the stones), the black wouldn't show through and the color would be more apparent. Either way, it's beautiful and will only be more beautiful with sunlight on it!

Hmmm.... that's not a bad idea, ChibiIceWolf.... i have some extra jewels so I'll try it with those ones and see how it works.

Thanks for the compliments, guys ^_^

ooooh that's really pretty, I like how you used flowers instead of making them gold clovers which I've seen done...great job!

I love the trim, it seems you got it nailed! Great job! Accessories can be so hard to make but it looks gorgeous! Kakyuu is so pretty. Should be a fun cosplay. ^^

Some of the jewels come with silver backing. Why not take some eyelash or super glue and some foil from a gum wrapper and do the same thing with yours? Or maybe tinfoil...

You wouldn't want to use tin foil seeing that it is highly mandable and the creases would show through the jewel. The painting should work out perfectly if the Niphro wants to show the color more vividly.

Ah. I didn't think about the creasing problem. Yeah, paint sounds like the best option then.
