help! i never cosplayed before!

i never ever cosplayed before, i was wondering if any one has any suggestions for my "firsty project". i want it to be simple(not pedro from excel saga simple) yet effective( not something like the guyver suit) so, feel free to throw ideas at me. thnx in advance....oh yeah im male, 18, 5'11 , so nothing like yugi...

I pretty much always say to ask yourself the following question.

What 5 anime series do you like the best?

That will narrow it down pretty quick, you are obviously going to want to cosplay someone that you like, so answer the above question and then pick a costume out of one of those series that would fit your skills/budget/timeframe and you will be all set!

be reno the turk, from FFVII (wow, I've told like a million people this on this board. I'm Reno-love-biased...) It's a simple outfit...basically a suit, but the color of fabric is a bit unconventional, and sewing it yourself would be a huge eyecatcher. People notice these things. Plus he has very unique, fiery-red hair and sunglasses on the top of his head and...a CATTLE PROD. whee! He's pretty recognizeable....simple, with a few outstanding traits.




...ok fine. I just want to see a Reno cosplayer. XD

your description of you matches mine. so I'd have to say Wolfwood. Its pretty easy. Just put some effort into it and you can make somethign impressive.

heh i woudl go as a char ya feel attached to r ya act like. granted i dont always do thingst that are even lookin lik me though. i am sitll ever happy to go as mutsumi from love hina ^^
