Chobits help

I'm going as Chii, while one of my best friends is going as Dark Chii to Anime Boston in April. We are both totally blocked on what to do. The only advantages I seem to have: a working computer, and much longer (natural) blonde hair.

I've found sites that sell coustume parts, and the costumes, only problem is, when I found a site that sold Chii ears, it was $58 a headband. Also, I can't read Japanese, and all the costumes sites are in Japanese. because I know what costume I want, and I think I know the costume my friend wants, but it's buying them and paying for them. (I'm a jobless 15 yr old child)

Any suggestions? please?

well most people make Chii costumes and plus when you buy things online (especially overseas) you have to add shipping costs too. That pair of $58 ears will most likely come to $70 by the time it get to you so it would be much cheaper to just make it

try ebay, people are always selling homemade ears and stuff
You CAN make them yourself! All you really need is some 33 cent craft foam (pink and white), a head band, hot glue, and some trial-and-error! ^^ You can do it!

Try ebay for the ears, sometimes they go cheap, I think. I'm not sure what to do for the costume though. They may even have commissions on ebay, but I'm not sure. Good luck!

For Chii ears - like everyone else has said, try making them out of fun foam or looking on eBay, 'cause eBay is the god of internet shopping. Also, Yaya Han sells some very nice looking hard plastic Chii ears and hair beads at her site, angelicstar.net. As far as your costumes are concerned, wouldn't you rather make them yourself? If I were you, I would be much more proud and wanting the show off a costume that I made myself. Get me a picture of the costumes you want to make and I'll see what input and ideas I can plant in your head about it :).

15 bucks for the hair thingies?? Nononononononono he's a little trick for ya dear, thread spools, paint em, they look exactly the same, take a knife make the hole a little bigger your done. As for the ears and the dress, you're not goin to make em? I'd bust out the sowing machine and start pumping! either that or you could commision for alot more money, asking someone else to do it. you could ask someone on this site to do it.
