Hola everyone! As you can see, I'm a newbie (isn't that directly apparent in the subject of this bloody post? Duh!) and I got a few questions for all of you vets out there:

1) Is it fine to wear more than one costume during a con? Somehow, I got the braniac idea to do more than one (if you count them, it's actually three all together) and wear one each day. I don't think it will be much of a problem since I'm wearing my best costume during the contest, but then again... :)

2) Does anyone on this earth know where to find those thigh-high socks that you see with school uniforms? For my variant Nekoi costume (yeah... Nekoi without Inuki... I don't think pets are allowed in the hotel... :( Oh well...) I need a pair of opaque, black thigh-highs and I can't FIND them! It's driving me absolutely UP THE WALL!! :angry: I've even tried lingerie stores, but NO LUCK!

Anyhoo. I think it'd be okay to do more than one costume during a convention. Why not? I've done it before. So I say go for it.

As for your second question, Limebarb.com (http://www.limebarb.com) makes those high sock thingers you were talking about, as well as a whole lot of other spiffy doodads.

If you mean bringing more than one costume to a con, then of course it's okay. People often bring multiple costumes and rotate them for the con duration.

I thought that was crazy, but now I'm having trouble fitting six costumes in a four day con.. o.o;;;

I want to do one costume a day... my best friend is going to go NUTS beacuse I only told her I was doing one for the whole weekend... Imagine when I show up in a different costume every three hours...! :) I'm going to be rotating from Noir to Hellsing to X and then (maybe) to Star Ocean EX... GOSH! I feel like a crossover fanfic!

BTW, Ruytaro--about Limebarb, they didn't have the socks/tights that I needed, but thanx for the site! It had some MAD cute stuff!

For your 1st question. Its absolutely fine to do more than one per day. I am doing Hatsuharu for the Friday at the Shoujo con, Su in the morning of Saturday and Shigure in the afternoon Saturday.
As for your second, did you check ebay. I can usually find little accessories like that on ebay, but I check every other day to see what new stuff they have listed. I can volunteer to help you out if you want. Just send me a pic of what if looks like and I'll see what I can do. ^_^

When you asked about doing the one costume a day for a con..that's what I'm doing up at Anime North. When I went to Otakon I only had one, but now I'm making three. *_* It's exciting! About the thigh high socks...well, I'd honostly say you should use a pair of stockings because they come in thigh high. Yeah where CAN you find thigh high socks??

For the socks, you might want to check your area to see if there are any stores that sell private school uniforms. You might be able to find some there. And you could always bring a stuffed dog instead of a real one ^^
