Armour woes

well after much diliberation my friend has decided on magic knight rayearth. prob is look what she picked:

were pretty confident with our sewing skills but having never cosplayed before have no idea how to make that big ole armour. I was wondering of neone had any ideas on how we would go about creating the shoulder guards and the belts

http://amethyst-angel.com/armormaking.html Go check out her fantastic guide on making armor. With her method you don't have to worry about all the mess and toxic woes of fiberglass, and you can still achieve really beautiful results!

Or you could always just go with cardboard or foamcore if you're not wanting to take on that huge of a project right away.
