Otakon: Registration Group Information

Okay. This is the offical followup and the Acutal thread for the Otakon registration group.

Here is the offical Registration Page where all the information is, should you want to see it yourselves. (http://www.otakon.com/registration.html)

The Prices right now are as follows.

$35 until March 1st (must be postmarked by this date)
$40 until May 3rd (must be postmarked by this date)
$45 until July 12th (must be postmarked by this date and received no later than July 16)

Group Discounts are 5 Dollars per person, as long as there are 10 or more people in the group. So for example if we make the March 1st date we only have to pay 30 dollars if more than 10 people sign up, so the incentive is there.

Here's how this is going to be done. The acutal payment has to be done in the Mail, but we can use PayPal to transfer the money that each person has to pay to my account so I can pay the whole entire amount when the time comes.

1) The money will be due by Feburary 24th at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. This is so I can request Paypal to transfer the money out of my Paypal account, and have time to get there before the postmark date

2) To transfer the Money on Paypal.

My account is studmaster45@yahoo.com, so transfer the money to that account.

If you do not have Paypal. Go here to register for paypal, it's free, so don't worry about that cost. (http://www.paypal.com)

3) If you are interested. You can post here, and then Please PM your name and address so I can put it on a list with the check I will send out, so I can have each confirmation sent to each indidvivual.

4) When I get your cash, I will inform that I have done so.

I am very interested! ^_^ I don't have PayPal (I only have a checking account, and it's a hassle to have to wait 3-4 business days to transfer money into it) so if I could send a check or money order via snail mail that'd be great.. ^^

I am definitely interested in getting a discount... ^_^ I can pay you with Paypal sometime in February, if that is all right. I'd like to be sure that we get the ten people, first.

Sami- you can set it up with your account and use an echeck to send money. It takes about 3 days, but I never found it to be a hassle at all...

Has anyone done group pre-reg before? How does the badge pick-up / check-in work, does everyone have to be there at once? Just curious, a group of my friends is going in for this.

:::helps out her fellow stalker::: lol you pick up your badge whenever. you don't have to be with the group. just have your id.... and the postcard they sent you (it came in handy last year)

I don't have a confirmed paypal account, so it probably would be cheaper for person collecting the money to accept postal money orders (no worries about bounced checks using those) then to take a credit card paypal payment. I have couple other people woobling about going, don't know if any of them have a confirmed paypal account.
