For cosplay ideas, go over the anime you've seen and look out for your favorite characters, under or over cosplayed ^_^ If you're good with a sewing machine/needle I say go for it with the Yukina or Botan costumes!

Botan is pretty easy, and probably a good beginner's costume.

My suggestions for a beginner cosplayer...
1. Do a cosplay of a character you like and from a series you know.
2. Don't do a costume that makes you feel uncomferatable.
3. Try to make a costume within your skill level.
4. Have fun while you do it. If you're struggling and about to throw it in the trash, you picked the wrong costume to start with, but never give it up. Maybe go back to it when your skills have improved.
