A Cross-play couples that would rock your socks question

I was wondering what cross-play couples you would love to see?

I'd love to see:

Prince Phil & Amelia (okay not a couple but a father daughter duo)
Zelgadis & Amelia
Lina & Gourry
Harlock & Queen Emeraldis
Speed & Trixey
Rick Hunter & Lisa Hayse
Rick Hunter & Minmei
Miaka & Tamahome
Yui & Nakago
Hotohori & Nuriko (okay, so they are both guys - I could use a little Yuri action at a con)
Jessie and James (Team Rocket 4 Life!)

and for live action:
Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley (sp? - still need to read the books but I like the pair)

I'd like to see Yui and Suboshi even though it's really a one way thing but I think that they would be cute together. :)

My question is the following...

WHY do you want to see those couples CROSSplayed as opposed to simply COSplayed? Is there a specific reason why you'd want a female Nakago and male Yui instead of a male Nakago and female Yui? I don't get it. Especially since that's almost impossible to be well done... a 6 foot 4 burly girl and a 5 foot 4 skinny guy? o_O;;;

I think this would be an interesting idea and maybe spark a couple couples into doing this.

I just think it would be neato to see. A topic similure to this was done before but not with the cross-play twist if I remember right.

Rosiel, you obviously don't know some of the guys I do ^^ Some of them are small enough to pull of Yui...A friend of mine could have done it really well, had he not decided to have a growth spurt and end up around 5' 10"

L to the 3rd ~ (Chrissy?) have you seen Cosmowarrior Zero? it's a prequel sorta thing, and Harlock wears a medium blue body/flight suit get-up. ^^ I'm prolly going to have Emeraldas's CwZ thing.. um.. sometime. x_o hopefully AX. whee.

I'm curious about this too.. regardless of whether you know particular people who could pull it off, why crossplay in particular? I don't get it.

I think it's a great idea to have crossplay couples. I can't think of any I'd particularly LOVE to see, but I think crossplay is fantastic.

My ex wanted me to cosplay Tenchi when he did Ryoko. However, I hate Tenchi (with a passion), but had I done it, would've been rather interesting.

Ironically there was a really good Tenchi at the con, so everyone just got pictures of them together instead.

I think the sheer wrongness of a lot of crossplays is very entertaining! ^_^

Hell, I would love to do a crossplay couple if I had a girlfriend. ^_^; I'm have Nuriko in mind for doing as well as Speed/Trixie.
