Oh, sorry. We're just deciding on who to be, then to work on the costumes.
Like, Im prolly gunna be Sora, and I have an idea for the Keyblade:

For the pole part: PVC pipe.
But for the tip, key thing and the handle, what should I use...
wood is tough to carve so smoothly because I dont have the materials. I thought cardboard, whats the average material used.

Well, something that works is going to a craft store like Michael's and buying that styrofoam that is sold in big pieces and cut out the blade part and hilt (which is what that gold part is called, me thinks o.o) from the styrofoam.

To reinforce it, cover the styrofoam with drywall plaster. Make sure it's really smooth, so that when it dries, it doesn't look all beat up.

After the plaster dries, paint it the appropriate colours. ^_^ Ta da. Hope that helps some. That's just one idea.

Katzu's idea seems great, light and practical. Just be careful when you smash people with it!
