Yah. Think of your favorite character from an anime and go with it! Can't really get suggestions from ppl cuz there are just too many characters from anime! ^.^

Always always always cosplay as a character you like... unless you're roped into a masquerade group. :P If you don't think you can make it yourself, there's always someone willing to make it for you. ^_^ cygnenoir.com and elfeater.com are some of the more popular places to get custom costumes, I believe. ^_^

You should do Pan if you want to. She's really cute and easy for beginers. People ussually do more than one costume. I'm taking 3 to the Shoujo con this year, but only one to the BAAF. So you need to decide that for yourself...based on budget and how much you love to cosplay and such. I hope that helps ^_^

I'd like to do Ashley Winchester from Wild Arms 2: 2nd Ignition...*thinks* But I'm not really sure how to start. His leather gauntlets/gloves and his leg-warmer things look daunting. xX; Although the rest of his costume (save the bayonet) look ridiculously easy. xD I mean, a shirt and jeans. :P

Do whoever you look like and whoever you really wanna do and just go with it. The secret to good costume is time, money, effort, and the knowledge of the personality of the person you're doing! ^^ happy trails!

I'm not sure on how you would start on those. I'm more of a prop man myself. But I have a hard costume in front of me also. Not only do I have a 6 foot sword that I have to make, but I also have leg armor, a gauntlet, and a deformed arm to make. But good luck on your costume, I hope that you figure out how you can pull that off.
