I know in the description it says good for EGL, but anyone used it and have pictures of them wearing it under a dress/skirt? This looks like an A-line shape, which I prefer over the "bell" shape anyways (yuck adds 5 pounds XD) I will never ever try to make a petticoat again when I can easily buy one. x.x (plus I have teh gift certificate XD)

I would definitely suggest getting that one if you want the A-line shape instead of the big poofy cupcake loli.
I don't have any pictures but I did inspect all our petticoats when they first got in and the knee-length one will hold it's shape under a loli dress, definitely.

Thanks ^^ Yeah cupcake LOL XD I don't want that! Ooh another question, it's not made of itchy tulle is it? It looks like a softer fabric, but I'd like to be sure.
Celeste_Orchid - I'll tell ya basically how I did it in your thread. ^^

That, I must say, is a really good price for a petti ^^ <3 But Does anyone know the actual measurements? <.< (waist, hips, and length?)

The petticoat makes a dress look this poofy when you wear it:

This is an example of too poofy:

I bought this petticoat for my friend and it appeared a bit too poofy than what she wanted ><

*revives the thread* I had a question about petticoats in general, but I'm using it for a cosplay. I want to buy a "cupcake" petticoat, but I haven't found one that's exactly, *ahem* affordable for a starving student. ^^;; Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

While we're talking about petties...how much poof dose this one provide
http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=26058&cat=2467&page=1
I'm working on a costume, and I didn't realize I was going to need a petti till I got the skirt sewn up, and it looks like I will. I need it to just give the skirt a nice shape, not too poofy.

that one does not look very poofy int he picture. rather flat-looking, actually.
you might be able to get an inch or two out of it. (i have a skirt taht has more tulle than that, gathered more than that on it, and it is a pleated skirt, but it still only poofs maybe two inches at the most, and probably half of that is from the pleating, so...)

I borrowed a petticoat from a friend that I'm pretty sure is the same as that one, and it's not super poofy, and very short besides. I wore it with a circle skirt, just to give it a little volume, and it worked quite well.

CosWorx sells a very poofy petticoat for under 30 bucks!

It actually is a lot poofier on than the picture ^_^

I have to assume you mean too poofy for your costumes or personal tastes as I've seen this costume in person and thought it to be quite fine, cute and charming.
Then again. I am known for my love of petticoats and oversized skirts. XD

Wow, I never thought one of my photos would be used as an example of anything O_O
I agree with Kaijugal that amount of poof really is a matter of personal preference. I think that the poofiness in the costume posted might be too much for a typical Lolita skirt, but it's just about perfect for Rabi-en-Rose. If anything, I would make it more poofy if I could! ^_^
By the way, since someone was asking about do-it-yourself petticoats, I made this one myself, and it cost less than $5. (Took some creativity though ^_^)

While we're on the subject, does anyone happen to know the length measurements on any of the Cosworx petticoats? I need one that's around 15-16 inches...

Alrighty guys I actually bought it and here's some info:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/chibiicewolf/Cosplay%20Progress/petticoat2.jpg
Petticoat with just bloomers underneath, which add a little poof, but you get the idea.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/chibiicewolf/Cosplay%20Progress/petticoat1.jpg
Picture of skirt and petticoat together.
It's about 18 inches long, and the waist goes from 20 inches unstretched to 34 stretched all the way. My waist is 27 inches and I find it too tight for my comfort. >.< I haven't tried wearing it all day though, and rolling the waistband down makes it more tolerable. Not to drive away Cosworx customers but I don't recommend it if you're much wider than I am at the waist. It's nice and soft though and has an even softer layer for the innermost one so even with short bloomers (or gasp! no bloomers! =o) it shouldn't be itchy. =)

I have a dress that's shorter than yours there Chibi, but it's longer than a miniskirt.
I'm looking at this petticoat here:
http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=25970&cat=2467&page=1
The skirt is definitely longer than that, but there's no way I could put the white one you have under it, it's too long. Otherwise I would, I like the shape of it! ^_^;

that petticoat does not have enough fluff for me. XD sure, its wide at the bottom, but i like it to be big and cupcake-y, not a-line~
i guess i would be better off making my own for that?

Personally, I like the cupcake look. I like the poof that this one would provide--> http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=25970&cat=2467&page=1 but it's far too short :(

Do any of you know a good spot to get some plus sized petticoats? (save ebay, that's my last resort)

Yeah, I have a 24 inch waist (yes, I realize my thinness, and no I don't have an eating disorder), so, it's a bit difficult to find things my size and length. Oh yeah, I'm about 5'6"...and a half XP

I have those petticoats. Not the best quality. IMHO, the prices on cosworx is too expensive. My bro sell these things on e-mail and whole sell cost is below $10 for the long petticoats.
If you are anywhere near LA. I suggest going to the garment district and buy them. The all three petticoats are made by Leg Avenue. You can see other petticoats at their website at
http://www.legavenue.com/
They have some new petticoats out this year but it's not shown on the website. It is shown in their catalog. I don't know where you can get a catalog, I saw one cuz of my brother.
They also have a separate costum website
http://www.legavenue.com/costumes/
You can find legavenue petticoats on ebay for cheaper price then cosworx.
