Hello all. I've planned out my first lolita outfit for an upcoming convention and don't have all that much sewing experience or hunting for good patterns. I know that the GLB has some good patterns but I'm in Dallas, TX and the only anime shop here doesn't carry the GLB and I'm not in a financially secure enough place to get a regular subscription. Im looking for help with making a stomach or chincher corset for the outfit and I have the color scheme for the costume all planned out. The things that I need help with are finding good but fairly inexpensive patterns that can either be modified to be Classic Lolita in style and fabric suggestions. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

if you give us a sketch or a reference picture of the item you are trying to work off then maybe we can point you to the right pattern from Simplicity or whatever. Also got to some of the other threads, I think there's on that links to a site that has all these GLB tutorials and patterns. ^^
