Hello everyone. I've been invited to host a photography/cosplay panel at AOD this year.
For those of you going to AOD, I hope you'll find the time to attend. Please come by to check out the panel and say hi. :)
Day: Saturday, Aug 5th
Time: 11am
Location: TBA (Please check the schedule for the panel room)
A summary of my panel is included below:
Cosplay Photography: Tips for Cosplayers and Picture Takers
This panel gives advice to photographers of all skill levels on how to take better cosplay photos. Go from simple convention snap shots to showing off the cosplayer at their best.
We'll discuss tips for using a simple point and shoot camera to expensive Digital SLRs. It's not just hardware though, being creative with your location and framing can be key to great photos.
On the other side of the lens, tips and suggestions to cosplayers on how to pose for photos and showing your best to the camera.
Panel hosted by cosplayer and photographer, ZiggyB and cosplayer Positivespace.
Additional topics include comparing cosplay photography in the US and Japan. Plenty of photographic examples provided.
Edit: positivespace was good enough to make a flyer for the panel. Have a look. (http://forums.cosplay.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=20124&d=1154250696) :)
